Kusi Communications: Promoting Positive Change in Africa: Championing Social Impact, Advocacy, Policy Influence & Effective Communication Strategies.
Thank you all for the warm birthday wishes—I’m truly grateful! Reflecting on my youth, I remember being daunted by the sobering thought of a life expectancy lower than 48 years. It motivated me to make a meaningful impact early on. I am glad the life expectancy in Kenya now is well above 62 years. Today, I am blessed not only with life but also with work that I passionately love and that contributes significantly to transforming our continent. Through Kusi Communications Ltd., a pan African focused communications agency we engage in work close to my heart, from conservation efforts with the Ol Pejeta Conservancy to developing strategies with the African Union for the Common African Position on Asset Recovery, critical in halting illicit financial flows and reclaiming our continent's stolen wealth. I also support the European Union in Kenya with strategic communications on the global gateway initiative and have recently begun an exciting partnership with the African Academy of Sciences to amplify their voice across the continent. Our engagements extend into the private sector, covering fields from Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to banking, manufacturing, and agriculture. I am deeply thankful for the continuous support and engagement from all of you over the years. Your encouragement and collaboration have been instrumental in our journey and success. Here’s to more years of making a difference together!

Reviewing the proposed organizational and coordination structure for the 2nd edition Uganda National AMR Action Plan. AMR remains a global challenge and the burden is more in low and middle income countries including Uganda. We need deliberate actions to response and manage AMR at human, animal and environment interface.

Component Lead For Access to Market and Business Linkages at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH
Egypt's path toawrds sustainable agriculture relies heavily on the private sector participation that plays a crucial role in consolidating agricultural lands. Over the past decade, private investments in this sector have soared by 30%! This not only enhances efficiency but also promises a significant boost to the economy, with experts predicting a 20% rise in agricultural output by 2025. To achieve this, a partnership is established between the GIZ Egypt and the Dutsh Cooperation RVO. Let's collaborate to shape Egypt's agricultural future through sustainable partnerships and innovative practices! #Agriculture #EgyptEconomy #PrivateSector #Sustainability #Innovation #LandConsolidation #giz #economiccooperatoion #RVO #innovation #smallholder #smallholderfarmers Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH #snrd #snrdafrica

Very informative and solution to the Food Security Crisis
One of my favourite things about working at WFP Somalia is seeing how much our team champions innovation both in our programming and operations, all while working in a fragile and complex setting. From being the first WFP operation in Africa to launch an anticipatory action campaign for floods, to pioneering two programmes designed to attract and retain top talent — we’re working at the forefront of transformational change, re-imagining what is possible for the people we serve and the people who serve. On this World Creativity and Innovation Day 🚀, I want to highlight the work that our food systems team is doing to reduce post-harvest losses for farmers in Somalia. By actively engaging with the people we serve, the team was able to create solutions that are not only accessible and affordable, but also locally-led, ensuring that we meet the immediate needs of the smallholder farmers we’re supporting, while also strengthening their resilience more sustainably. Watch below to see our very own Tawanda Mashonganyika explain more about our locally-led food systems solutions!

Check out the #USAID #Tanzania Tuhifadhi Maliasili Activity's first #GIS story map, about our #lion #conservation efforts! RTI International
Northern Tanzania is home to one of the major lion populations remaining in East Africa 🦁. Addressing human-wildlife conflict is crucial in this region. One effective solution is monitoring lion movements through GPS collars. 🗺️ This provides communities with crucial information on lion proximity to their locality, livestock grazing lands, and shared water sources, helping communities assess human-lion conflict hotspots. Check out the maps and meet the lions supported by the USAID Tuhifadhi Maliasili Activity, in collaboration with Asilia Giving and the Tarangire Lion Project. 📰✨ Learn more: https://bit.ly/3RKAOgS

Progress is made of small steps, and this is a small step that I believe will lead to great progress towards a more diverse diet in Mozambique, thus contributing to the reduction of #chronicmalnutriton. This is also a call for all sectors, including #privatesector to work together towards sustainable solutions.
Exciting news from CASCADE Mozambique! 📰 🤝 SETSAN (Technical Secretariat for Food Security and Nutrition) and CASCADE project have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together to address aspects of malnutrition, support local businesses for more nutritious food, and strengthen collaboration between government and community based organizations. 👩👩👧👧 🙋♀️ Join us in this crucial endeavor to make a positive impact on the lives of Mozambicans, especially in the districts of Érati, Nacarôa and Nampula, in the province of Nampula. Let's work together towards a healthier and more prosperous future! Cláudio Sixpence Hélio Julião Ngove CARE INTERNATIONAL MOZAMBIQUE Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) Arão Gove
