The E-Cell IIT BHU family is thrilled to announce the 4th edition of the annual entrepreneurship festival of IIT BHU, the Entrepreneurship Summit’24 from 2nd to 4th Feb’24 with the theme “Nexus of Novelties” Throughout the year, we organized a number of events and started many novel initiatives and now is the time to showcase all that hard work in this summit. This tenure has been a rollercoaster for all of us. We organized the first ever inter city pitching event, the Startup Junction in Delhi and Bangalore on 15th December’23.  The event garnered excellent feedback from both 12+ investors and 15+ incredible participating startup founders. We have a team of 100+ working day in and out in making the upcoming summit a grand success. This E-Summit will witness various panel discussions, networking sessions, keynote sessions, 10+ events, startup pitching and showcase. If not, you should definitely check out the French startup Nijta! * Binny Bansal, the founder of Flipkart, has invested nearly $2 million in his new venture, OppDoor, through the venture fund Three State Ventures. * LG Electronics has become the largest shareholder of Bear Robotics, a California startup that develops AI-powered server robots for restaurants and other venues. They confirmed a $60 million investment in the company. * Startup Mahakumbh is creating a collaborative learning experience. The Incubators' Pavilion at Startup Mahakumbh will host networking sessions, conferences, masterclasses, roundtables, and panel discussions from 18th to 20th March 2024. * ChargeMOD, an energy tech startup based in Kerala, aims to establish a presence across India by installing an additional 1,000 slow chargers and 200 fast chargers in various states. * Nanonets, a San Francisco-based startup, raised $29 million in an early funding round led by Accel India. They utilize artificial intelligence to assist businesses with accounting and budget management, bringing their total funding to $40 million. * According to Inc42's analysis, GenAI startups in the country have raised over $580 million between 2019 and 2023, with approximately $50 million going to seed-stage startups. The 4th National Workshop on Technology Innovation in Cyber-Physical Systems (TIPS 4.0) provided a significant fillip to deeptech innovation by startups. Over 40 early-stage startups, including IAN Group portfolio company Monitra Healthcare Private Limited , garnered investment commitments. Commenting on the occasion, Padmaja Ruparel, Co-founder of IAN Group, applauded the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for its role in organising TIPS 4.0 and incentivising deeptech innovation in India. Padmaja Ruparel said, “The NM-ICPS programme is one of a kind in India. It moves research to commercialisation and creation of startups and value. It is focused on sectors that are imperatives for the new India. It will take India to a $5 trillion economy by 2047, the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
