I've always wanted to know more about the "Jobs to be Done" (JTBD) framework, and had some suspicion it might be a useful complement to OKRs. In the dozens of conferences we and our chapters organize each year across the globe, AI has been by very far the #1 topic of interest in the last 12 months. Most people praise the Project Management Institute's efforts to lead the AI transformation of project management by providing education, knowledge, and resources (see our PMIxAI initiative here: https://lnkd.in/e3wBHwkf). We make all of this support available for free to our members, and many of our AI resources are even free for everyone. However, as Ricardo Viana Vargas, Ph.D., reports in his excellent podcast here: https://lnkd.in/dY_pwaZZ, we sometimes hear criticism—it’s expected when you take any position and try to drive transformation. Yet, I had not heard anyone so far suggest that PMI should, on the contrary, lead an effort to prevent AI from penetrating the world of project management in order to "protect" the profession. As Ricardo rightly says in this podcast, "Nobody can stop AI." He and Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez have been trailblazers, doing much to evangelize and bring brilliant perspectives about AI to the profession. I personally believe that AI presents an incredible opportunity for project professionals, not only to perform their jobs more effectively and improve project success but also to connect with the C-Suite and accelerate their careers by working on some of the most transformative projects that CEOs are undertaking everywhere. #PMIxAI #career #education
