Habits shape your identity and your identity shapes your habits ♾️ Psychologist Wendy Wood found that 43% of what you do every day is a formed habit, so it’s clearly important to be aware of and actively manage your habits. If you fail to do so, you effectively give up control of your life and identity... First you must decide who you want to be, then figure out the habits necessary to get you there. I use a habit tracker for my 10 most important habits and review my progress daily. This, of course, is subject to iteration. In training for the marathon, I have incorporated new habits for training and recovery. For investing I have started new habits to improve my understanding of where the world is today and where it is going. All so I have control over what I do today that will create who I am tomorrow. — In week 9, I ran 17.8 miles at an average pace of 7:40 minutes per mile. I’m raising money for the non-profit, Active Plus, that is promoting mental health through physical activity for the at-risk youth in NYC. 👇Please Donate Below👇 http://bit.ly/44JQeb9

SPONSOR ME: While everyone else is doing 3,249 push-ups, I’m completing 3,250. Sure, you can support someone else - but they’re not doing as many push-ups as I am. Get more push-up per dollar! Make a tax-deductible donation to my page, not one of those weaklings that are only doing 3,249. You don’t need a degree in economics to know that supporting me rather than someone who thinks that you’ll be happy with only 3,249 push-ups for your donation is a no brainer. Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives. By supporting me, you send a clear message to everyone who thinks that 3,249 is enough. Join me in saying NO to mediocre efforts. This cause is too important. Thank you for your generous support, together we can help improve and save lives by going one push-up better than everyone else. Please repost/share this to increase reach - let the world know that you believe in supporting those who go “over and above” for a good cause.

May is mental health month. I've been passionate about this subject as it has impacted my life as I have worked through many personal struggles. I know how important it is to have someone to be able to talk about the things in your life that are difficult. Unfortunately many do not have access to mental health services. In the Colorado, mental health is a serious issue for youth particularly with suicide. Suicide is the leading cause of death for youth in Colorado. Recent data indicates that within one school year, 1 in 5 Colorado high school students (17%) reported seriously considering suicide. It is an unfortunate reality that access to quality mental health care is limited. More so than ever before, it has become increasingly difficult to navigate mental healthcare and prohibitively expensive to afford therapy. Second Wind Fund (SWF) is a Colorado non-profit that provided up to 12 FREE counseling sessions for youth (19 and younger). As little as 1 session has proved to help reduce suicide significantly. It's great that we talk about mental health, but let's put our money where our mouths are. I encourage you to donate to SWF. https://lnkd.in/eDD4sJMR $1000 donation provides about 12 sessions and could save a life but no donation is too small.

There is a profound distinction between suffering and grief. Suffering feels endless and overwhelming, while grief is a transformative journey that opens doors to hope and healing. This distinction was a central theme in a recent online event focused on forgiveness awareness and emotional intelligence, supported by the Templeton World Charity Foundation. The insights from Dr. Christena Cleveland are breathtaking... For a deeper exploration, download our free forgiveness resources, available in five languages: https://lnkd.in/gJ5VaVZj. Enjoy. #leadership #criticalthinking #emotionalintelligence

Hey, brainiacs! I'm taking part in the push up challenge for Mental Health. Here are some funny reasons why you should donate to this awesome cause: 1) Because life is hard and people need help to cope 2) Brains are squishy and mushy, but science shows you can reshape them no matter how old you get. 3) Working out keeps me sane, so I won't freak out at you 4) It's the biggest fundraising event for mental health in Australia 5) Stick one to the man and get some money back for doing good! The Push for Better Foundation is a legit charity in Australia and you can claim your donation on your taxes. (ABN 49645093349) 6) I also put my money where my mouth is, so you know it's good stuff.

K, forgot to post on here last night (was a bit busy) and before the clock strikes 12 here wanted to make sure you remember that you're human. We all make mistakes. It's how we learn. We can't succeed without first learning what failure is. We appreciate things more when we learn what we may have lost. This is why usually when you get older, material items don't hold as much significance as time with others and memories made. All things that sometimes a person struggling with mental health can't comprehend because their view point is skewed. So I just want to say, take it easy on yourself. If just for today. There's still time to sign for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - National Capital Area Chapter #OutoftheDarkness walk being held Sat 10/21. Raise $150 and you get a shirt. Donate to an individual, a team, the cause in general. Walk and don't raise money at all, but enjoy the laughs as we continue to remember and think of those that struggle with these thoughts. (here's what you can get if you're competitive like me 😉 https://lnkd.in/e5ryCkKj ) American Foundation for Suicide Prevention #StopsuicideNCAC #breakthestigma #suicideawareness #afsp
