very relevant point made be Virginie Lagrange and Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA) . Further professionalization, and in particular more risk awareness and a risk-critical mindest, are key, be it profit or not-for-profit boards.

1moThank you for raising this Virginie. Good governance is good governance and perhaps even more critical in not for profits given the important missions and function they serve in todays society. Having the appropriate range of specific skill sets and experience on a board and a culture promoting open and honest discussion at the board level is also important. Over the years, there have been some great articles in the Stanford Social Innovation Review that are well worth a read.
