What is an internship? An internship is a temporary job, typically undertaken by fresh graduates, with duration between 3 or 4 months. It is a mandatory course for BBA graduates to undertake an internship and present a report based on the experience. An internship is designed to provide practical experience regarding a particular field. While gaining practical knowledge related to one's academic coursework is significantly important, the primary objective of an internship encompasses a broader spectrum. An internship aims to: 1. Prepare fresh graduates for a competent and challenging work environment. 2. Instill professionalism and discipline in young professionals. 3. Offer hands-on experience regarding corporate life. 4. Foster regular attendance and punctuality of time. 5. Teach different aspects of office. 6. Demonstrate the practical application of theoretical knowledge. 7. Implement a sense of duty and responsibility towards one's job. From my own experience, I have learned to manage long working hours, maintain discipline, and fulfill my job obligations while adhering to formal attire and behavioral standards. Therefore, an internship is not merely about acquiring practical knowledge related to academic courses. It prepares individuals for the professional world. For those seeking internships, it is essential to learn to adapt to various situations. #intern #internship #NCCBank #Bank #Banking #knowledge #innovation #management #LinkedIn #NCCBank #management #innovation #banks #banking #education #job #job_details #jobseekers #practicalknowledge #experience

Paying interns would only cost employers more money and time! If you are an employer or a business owner and you feel that providing an allowance for your interns is a hassle and a waste for the company, well, think again. Providing a liveable allowance to your future interns can help in your talent development process. Not only can you attract high-quality interns, but you can also motivate them to work and do better. Who knows—these interns might be your future star employees. And, what's more - you can also claim for double tax deductions for eligible expenses paid for your interns. So all those allowances that you give them? All those training you sent them to? All the additional expenses like accommodation & mobile data allowances? Yes - you can claim them back as a double tax deduction! It's a win-win situation if you really think about it. Companies should normalise not needing years of experience when applying for jobs as a fresh university graduate. It is often the case with graduates that they do not get accepted for jobs because someone with years of experience was chosen over them. During their time at university, students reach out and apply for jobs and internships to increase their experience, as they are expected to have years of experience by the time they graduate. But even as a student looking to gain experience, many companies are not interested owing to the lack of experience. How, as a student, can you gain experience in the workplace if many companies are not willing to provide the opportunities to gain experience? #experience #workexperience #university #graduate #projectmangement

Absolutely, the practice of offering unpaid internships, particularly with demanding schedules, is not conducive to fostering a fair and sustainable work environment. I completely agree with the sentiment that Indian corporates need to reconsider their approach to internships. Internships are meant to be a mutually beneficial experience, providing valuable learning opportunities for the intern while contributing to the organization's productivity. However, when the terms become exploitative, it not only undervalues the skills and time of the workforce but also perpetuates a culture of exploitation. Prioritizing learning over earnings is a valid standpoint, but this should not translate into a complete disregard for fair compensation. A fair stipend or compensation for interns not only acknowledges the value they bring to the organization but also ensures that the workforce is more diverse and accessible to individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds. It's essential for corporates to recognize the talent and potential of young professionals and offer fair remuneration for their contributions. This not only promotes a healthier work culture but also aligns with ethical and equitable employment practices. It's time for a shift in mindset and practices, moving away from the notion that freshers should be willing to work for free in exchange for learning opportunities. This shift would contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable work environment in India #FairInternship#PayForInterns#InternRights#EndExploitation#EqualPayForEqualWork#InternshipEquality#InternshipEthics #ValueInterns #LearnAndEarn

Meezan Bank Limited I find your recent advertisement to be highly concerning as a customer and pakistani due to its perceived exploitation and lack of professionalism. Offering graduates a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month is not only unethical but also undervalues their qualifications and potential. Let not exploint the jobless graduates in this manner.Graduates should be offered at least Rs. 37,000 per month, a fair wage of labour as per GOP in recent budget. Furthermore, graduates should be considered for Management Trainee Officer positions to better utilize their skills and foster their career development. Internships should be reserved for students in their 7th and 8th semesters, providing them with modest stipends and valuable exposure, which benefits both the employer and the students as part of corporate social responsibility initiatives. It is crucial to prioritize ethical standards and fairness over mere legality. Achieving top bank awards loses significance when such practices are in place. Somebody Senior from HR should be coached for this insensitivity and playing with bank brand image.. Let's not forget the recent stunt that happened at Al Meezan Investment Management Limited. #notounpaidinternships In times of inflation, it is essential for internship programs to offer stipends. While companies and industries may earn millions, if they choose to engage interns, they should ensure that at least basic needs are met. In the current circumstances where even commuting expenses have risen significantly, it's crucial to set aside enough money to cover these costs. When students undertake internships, they invest their time, energy, and often incur expenses such as transportation and meals. Providing a stipend not only acknowledges their efforts but also ensures that financial constraints do not hinder their ability to gain valuable work experience. Moreover, it fosters a sense of fairness and inclusivity within the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to support the next generation of professionals. Therefore, in the face of inflation, offering internship stipends is not only a matter of practicality but also a matter of equity and respect for the efforts of interns. #unpaidinternship #petrolprice #payinternees
