During the last two weeks, MinnCAP network Community Action Agencies Northwest Community Action, PRAIRIE FIVE COMMUNITY ACTION COUNC IL and United Community Action Partnership, Inc. held poverty simulations. The events emulated the challenges and choices households with low incomes or living in #poverty face. It's not a game. It's a reality all too often present in the lives of Community Action clients. The simulation brings awareness to individuals, community members and organizations about families' struggles that aren't always discussed. These children endure disproportionate rates of impoverishment and victimization, facing systemic challenges that hinder their well-being and opportunities for a prosperous future.
