‼️Very important thing to brain storm while hiring strategic consultants‼️ 1️⃣Linking fees to performance of top line or bottom line is very important for consultants… 2️⃣But the question again comes the proof of performance……..was it the consultants…….or the employees…..or the management???? 3️⃣Let the consultant lead the segment or project….review, implement and guide the team and management be out of it… the assignment should be linked to profit or loss rising from the project which could be long term in nature also. This wll help to gauge the actual outcome of the consultants

Losing your People Analytics champion doesn't have to mean losing momentum. ⏭️🛑 Instead, it can be an opportunity to reflect on your priorities, resources, and goals. 🤔 What are the biggest needs? What are the current gaps in capability or capacity? The right champion 💎 will not only possess the technical skills but will also have the communication skills to bridge the gap between data and decision-making. It's easier said than done! So, before you default to hiring a backfill, think it through. Is a backfill what you need? Could a consultant push initiatives forward while you consider resource and skill needs? Is there an internal candidate who already knows the ropes? Don't underestimate what it takes to chart a new course with a new captain. ⛵

One of the most effective tools a leader has is to ask great questions. This helps you learn what truly powers your people. Sitting in curiosity and understanding people is something I love doing. And while 'asking more' and 'telling less' sounds simple, it's hard to do in the moment under pressure. If you’re bringing a consultant on board, let them work their way. I often see companies hiring consultants to hit specific targets—but insisting they do it the company’s way. Here’s the thing: a consultant brings fresh perspective and expertise to uncover efficiencies, optimizations, and new approaches. To make the most of that, it’s important to allow them the flexibility to work in a way that gets results, even if it differs from the usual path. After all, if you want something done exactly your way, why hire an external expert? The goal of a consultant is to help you see what you might be missing. Give them space to work, and you’ll get the most out of their insights.
