If your org can’t/won’t hire a DBA for whatever reason (too many to list), PLEASE use a fractional DBA! They way to know if you need one is to ask a very simple question- “What will it cost (revenue, customer faith, time, rebuild effort, etc.) if we irrevocably lost this database?” Ask this question across all orgs/team/ users of the data. The answer should be obvious and the path forward very clear.

Rightly or wrongly in a lot of conversations I have I use DevOps as an example to illustrate some of the high level benefits of IBM Turbonomic. No more sleepless nights for this poor meme developer as Turbonomic continuously optimises and parks workloads in line with demand. Good for DevOps.
