Chris Kaag started CorpsFitness out of the back of his truck in 2004 with his special blend of encouragement, guilt, and gratitude. The Marine Corps-style workouts pushed thousands of people to redefine their own possible.
On Saturday, September 7th, Chris Kaag and Amanda Kodz teamed up to remind a bunch of the old-school CorpsFit members and some fresh faces how to do monkey squats in cadence but to also to remind us all to be grateful for what we still “get to” do.
Thank you to CrossFit Crossing and Amanda for hosting the workout and to everyone who donated to the IM ABLE Foundation for the privilege of getting your butts kicked by Chris at a CorpsFit workout.

Update on the Fan Dance Race: 24km Up Pen Y Fan in Wales, Carrying 22kg
First of all, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me. I raised just under £1800 for Mind charity, and your generosity means the world to me.
The day started with prime conditions, but the weather soon took a turn for the worse with 21km/h winds and rain! Due to these adverse conditions, the organizers kindly extended the Special Forces cut-off time by a whopping 10 minutes, giving us a total of 4 hours and 10 minutes to complete the challenge.
This was by far one of the most testing challenges I have ever undertaken. I want to extend a massive thank you to my training partner, Paul Allun. We helped each other get through this grueling experience. The return leg was particularly tough, with strong winds and rain making the ground slippery and the climb even more challenging. Paul and I stuck together through it all and ended up finishing joint 4th. In true “Ollie” fashion, we finished within the selection time by just 1 minute, completing the race in 4 hours and 9 minutes.
The sense of achievement was incredible. All the hard work and training paid off, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our placement and time. Once again, thank you to everyone who sponsored me and supported this cause.
What's next...?

“We want them to leave as better human beings.”
Growing up in today’s complex world can be a challenge. Environments, experiences, and relationships shape our individual journeys. Elite teenage athletes face the additional pressures of thousands of hours of training, travel, and recovery time. High-performance sporting environments demand sacrifices. It is physically and mentally tough, challenging athletes on all levels. Managing training and recovery loads, while making time for study, socialising, and sleep, takes immense discipline.
The Sea Eagles Foundation supports an environment where young players learn practical strategies to thrive. While chasing their sporting dreams, we help them become better human beings. Well-rounded individuals make better players.
Creating this environment requires experienced, dedicated people, resources, and time. Manly invests in our pathways system for the future of the club, helping the next generation of over 250 teenage boys and girls soar with the Sea Eagles.
And it takes money too.
Nurturing young, exceptional rugby league players requires investment in coaching, technical skills, fitness, and nutrition. Equally, we need to fund holistic life skills like education, employment pathways, and mental resilience.
As a Manly supporter, we need you to play your part. Help nurture the next generation by making a tax-deductible donation to the Sea Eagles Foundation. Help grow better human beings. Watch them soar with the Sea Eagles.
Manly supporters, make that donation before 30th June to reduce your taxable income. Click on the link to the ASF at the end of the video.

This time next week I'll be heading to the airport to prepare for #RunToRemember - a 1,400km running journey that Peter Baines OAM is taking on to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Boxing Day Tsunami.
The idea for running 1,400km in 26 days came about in September 2022 and a year later the training began. There have been high's and low's on this journey, and there will continue to be plenty of both in the days and weeks to come.
Have the nerves kicked in? Absolutely. As we move through the days, the anticipation of what December will bring is undeniable. But we step into this challenge with confidence, knowing we've done everything we can to get Pete to the start line—and, of course, the finish line.
What is this all for? Not only a journey to mark a significant milestone in Pete's journey, but to raise $1million to support projects that will give our kids a brighter future. From an agricultural centre producing cage free eggs for hotels to a hospitality training centre providing our kids with training opportunities that lead to employment, we're working on some huge projects to bring about sustainable income and opportunities for those that we support at Hands Across the Water
"How can you help?" I hear you whisper?
Well, let me tell you - I've seen the pep in Pete's step when someone jumps on board to show their support. And lucky for you, we’ve got a few great ways you can get involved!

🇺🇸 Continuing our dedication to the 30x30 Challenge in support of Hope For The Warriors®, we proudly shine a spotlight on another remarkable participant, John Zaghi!
For John, this challenge isn't just about breaking a sweat; it's about deepening his connection to a cause close to his heart. "I work out every day anyway, so I figured in joining this and donating a few dollars, I would feel more connected to the cause," John shares, highlighting his commitment to intertwining his daily routine with meaningful impact.
Memorial Day holds personal significance for John as he reflects on the service of his loved ones. "As we know Memorial Day is for the fallen. None of my friends or family have given their life for their country, but my father and many of my friends have served. Most of my friends who have served have known or have been friends with someone who has fallen. More often, tragically, many have taken their own lives after returning home. When I think of Memorial Day, I think of my father and friends, and how service has or had impacted their lives," he shares, illustrating the complex realities faced by veterans and their families.
With a firmly-established workout routine, John faces the 30x30 Challenge with confidence. "I don’t foresee any challenges; my workout is pretty well ingrained in my daily routine," he notes, underscoring his commitment to both fitness and the veteran community.
Join us as we stand alongside John Zaghi, championing the spirit of Memorial Day and rallying behind the noble cause of Hope for the Warriors. To learn more, visit https://bit.ly/2LoWwbZ.
