More frequent rain in recent years in the UAE is expected to get even worse in the years ahead, in particular, intense daily rainfall accumulations☔️ One way to address this climate change problem the modern world faces is 🟰Rain drainage ❗️Todays an integrated project to develop a rain drainage network in Dubai has been approved at a cost of Dh30-billion, announced by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai ❗️The project will increase the capacity of rainwater drainage in the emirate by 700%, and enhance its readiness to face future climate challenges ❗️The project, which will cover all areas of Dubai and absorb more than 20 million cubic meters of water per day, is likely to be the largest such network to collect rainwater in the region ❗️This climate action will serve Dubai for the next hundred years and the project is estimated to be completed by 2033 ##sustainability #climatechange #esg #togetherforgreen #togetherforclimate #togetherforaction #climateaction
