☯️ The month started strong on #synergies! RELIANCE HE Project and #NANOBLOC coordinating and CD teams had a very productive intro meeting last week to explore avenues for cooperation and synergies between the two projects. 💦 Synergies are a powerful way to amplify R&D projects’ impact, knowledge transfer and #capacitybuilding. In this case, in the field of design and development of high performance and sustainable #nanocoatings with enhanced antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal properties that are to be used in a wide range of industrial applications. ➡️ United by the common topic of creating safer and #healthiersurfaces, it was quite interesting to learn the differences in the applied technologies for coatings deposition. ➡️ One of the many identified opportunities for collaboration was the production of a dissemination materials, highlighting the differences in the #antimicrobial nanocoatings obtaining techniques and how this might affect the antimicrobial action with regard to aging, durability, ecotoxicity and efficiency of response to different microorganisms, all in relation to the specific application. The World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO is the global forum for intellectual property services, policy, information and cooperation. Today we share this report on #patents from WIPO, which reflects the importance of patents to meet sustainable development goals. And, what we can see in the report, is that most of these patents are #DeepScience: «Chemistry dominates the share of SDG-related patents, encompassing pharmaceuticals and innovations that enhance processes vital for fields such as greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Mechanical engineering and Instruments, including medical devices, also exhibit a similar trend. Together with TNO, Maastricht University and 10 other national universities + 5 universities of applied sciences + 40 companies, 𝗧𝗦𝗚 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 will cooperate to optimise hydrogen technologies and significantly drive down costs. 𝗛𝘆𝗣𝗥𝗢 will enable the Netherlands to play an important role in developing and producing materials, components, and systems for hydrogen-production technologies. With a subsidiary at Brightlands Chemelot Campus it's a logical step forward for TSG Group to apply its engineering, material en industrialization knowledge and experience to achieve mutual (SDG) goals in energy transition and sustainable technology development.
