Today is National Coming Out Day! National Coming Out Day is an annual celebration we commemorate each October 11th. First celebrated on the one-year anniversary of the 1987 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, this date honors the bravery of LGBTQ+ individuals who decide to come out and live openly. Despite starting off as an American awareness day, the meaning of National Coming Out Day is still highly relevant to LGBTQ+ communities worldwide. Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Vice editor and acclaimed author of "Africa Is Not A Country", Dipo Faloyin, to host a company-wide presentation in celebration of Black History Month (UK). Dipo lead an enlightening discussion that outlined some of the misconceptions of Africa and why they exist.
