Walking the Catalyst path is not an easy road. But some Catalyst roads are harder than others, even when you're advocating for a more just, equitable, and inclusive world. Speaking truth to power can be a scary, even terrifying step to take in helping to make a better world. But without people who are willing to highlight injustice or bad behavior (no matter how "unintentional"), how will we ever achieve real justice? "Unintentional" transgressions still need to be acknowledged and reconciled by the transgressor. And public legal threats against people who are trying to create more inclusive communities is the perfect demonstration of a system that would rather use intimidation to avoid self-reflection, rather than bring curiosity and self-reflection to a tough conversation. We must have the backs of those who show up with almost unimaginable bravery. I believe in the power of community and personal support. #catalyst #catalystmovement PS - the amount of time I spent writing and rewriting this small post, shows the power of backlash against those who speak out and how much I've internalized it. Last Friday I attended an amazing workshop on how to elevate my networking game by Joana Neves Did you know that when you meet people, you get more value when your conversation is relational and not only informational? Getting to know what someone does is good (informational), but getting to know why they love what they do, is great (relational) because you can find out that what connects you is your drive, and that makes the conversation memorable. 🚀 Thrilled to announce that our project 'Panchayat Setu' 🛤️ has been successfully presented at iDesign(UI/UX Hackathon), part TechTatva, MIT Manipal 2024, the technical fest of Manipal Institute of Technology! 🎉 Along with my amazing teammate, Venkatesh Gaur, we took on the challenge to build a user-friendly digital platform that empowers Sarpanchs and Panchayat members to streamline the management, coordination, and monitoring of multiple government schemes. 🏡💼 Problem Statement: "Vikasit Bharat - As India advances toward becoming a developed nation, the role of rural governance is crucial. Sarpanchs and Gram Panchayat are responsible for implementing a wide range of government schemes aimed at improving rural lives—whether in health, agriculture, education, or sanitation. However, managing these schemes can be cumbersome, often involving fragmented processes and lacking transparency, which leads to delays and inefficiencies in service delivery." Our solution, Panchayat Setu, is built with the goal of bridging this gap and providing Sarpanchs and Panchayat members with the tools they need to better serve their communities.
