It was such a pleasure to attend the Spanish mechanobiology network meeting yesterday in Madrid at the National Biotechnology Center (CNB). I enjoyed sharing my current research on how cells respond to mechanical forces, especially in protein export processes, and receiving valuable feedback from attendees. It was inspiring to see the exciting work being done in this field and to reinforce my belief in the potential of mechanobiology to unlock new therapeutic targets with real potential for transforming disease treatment. Mechanobiology will be essential in understanding cellular processes—particularly in age-related diseases like cancer and immune disorders—and in driving advancements in immunotherapy.
