Here are some key takeaways: - Stress testing can show how portfolios behave in a range of adverse conditions. Absolute or benchmark relative outcomes can be calculated. - Stress testing can be done by examining historic scenarios or by shocking for a market/economic event. - The factor profile chart is a great way to combine your equity managers into one chart. It visualizes the diversity of style and other key risk factors. - Forecasted idiosyncratic risk or unsystematic risk is available in risk forecast chart. It shows risk that cannot easily be diversified away. - Importantly idiosyncratic risk also shows sources of return that can not be cheaply replicated by low-cost factor strategies. - See how investment managers have changed their investment style or other risk factors over time via the historical risk exposure chart. - The risk factor attribution chart can be used to see how a portfolios risk profile impacted its returns.
