I am looking for a new senior sustainability leadership role to sink my teeth into when my current fixed-term contract comes to an end in March and I am hoping my LI community can help! I am keen to secure a senior role where I can bring my passion in all things sustainability, change management and collaboration to deliver truly impactful outcomes across decarbonisation, social value optimisation and responsible business. My areas of expertise include ESG & sustainability reporting, net-zero strategy development, social value and modern slavery risk management combined with a strong passion for solving business’s challenges through innovation and collaboration. So how can I add value in an organisation: 🟪 Build the ESG/Sustainability strategy to help deliver on company vision, reduce risks and increase competitive advantage – UK and internationally 🟪Drive organisational change and engage the C-suite by translating complex data & information into clear concepts 🟪Ensure activities meet and exceed compliance against ESG regulations, standards, clients’ and investor requirements – UK and internationally 🟪Educate and engage across all levels of a business to foster buy in and build networks to drive forward sustainability initiatives with tangible outcomes - company and industry-wide 🟪Lead cross-functional teams to collaborate and deliver on sustainability/ESG programmes & initiatives My sector interests include film & entertainment, technology, energy and transport & logistics (a nod to my railway days!) but open to other industries that want to make a true impact. I am open to London based roles (or within an hour’s commute of North London) with a hybrid working pattern. Please tag, share, or otherwise boost my post or reach out to me directly with questions or opportunities. Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated! "At a Crossroads: Sustainability or IT? 🤔" For the past year, I’ve poured my heart and soul into my current role in sustainability. 🌍💚 Working 14–16 hours a day, I’ve given 200% effort, hoping to grow and make a meaningful impact. Sustainability has always been my passion, and my initial dream was to build a career in the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) space. But here I am, one year later, feeling stuck. 😞 Despite all my hard work, I’m not seeing the financial growth or career progression I expected. This has left me questioning everything. 👉 Should I keep pushing forward in sustainability, hoping for a breakthrough? 👉 Or should I pivot to IT, where I see opportunities for better pay and a fresh start? Right now, I’m still in a stage of confusion. 🌀 Transitioning to IT feels like stepping into the unknown, but it also feels necessary to secure a better future. At the same time, it’s hard to let go of something I deeply care about. I’m sharing this because I know I’m not alone. 💭 Many of us face tough decisions like this in our careers. If you’ve been through something similar, I’d love to hear your story or advice. 🗣️ How did you make your decision? What helped you find clarity? Let’s connect and learn from each other—every insight counts! 🙌 #CareerTransition #Sustainability #ITCareer #ESG #GrowthMindset #CareerDilemma #LearningAndDevelopment

🚀 T-Shaped Career: The Future of Sustainability and ESG 🌱 Credits to Aline Lazzari and Luciana Cruz (Ela/She/Ella). Follow them for more sustainability content. Original post: __________ In the dynamic world of sustainability and ESG, the T-shaped career is emerging as a professional model that combines deep expertise with a broad, strategic vision—essential for tackling the complex environmental, social, and governance challenges ahead. 🔎 What is a T-Shaped Career? A T-shaped career means having a solid, generalist foundation (the horizontal bar of the “T”) across various areas, along with deep expertise in a specific area (the vertical bar of the “T”). For ESG and sustainability professionals, this combination enables the development of innovative, integrated solutions that meet social, environmental, and financial impact goals. 🌐 Why is it so relevant? 1. Integrated Solutions: In ESG, a holistic view is crucial for connecting areas like compliance, communication, governance, and sustainable operations. 2. Adapting to Change: In a constantly evolving field, the ability to quickly learn and integrate new knowledge is essential. 3. Resilience and Innovation: With multi-functional skills, a T-shaped professional is better equipped to adapt to crises and emerging regulatory demands, always ready to innovate. 💡 How to Build a T-Shaped Career in Sustainability? • Invest in courses that combine ESG with skills in data analysis, artificial intelligence, or circular economy. • Practice critical thinking and assertive communication, integrating different perspectives to create impactful solutions. • Engage in collaborative projects that bring practical experiences and exposure to various sectors. The T-shaped career in ESG is not just a trend; it’s a necessity in a market that demands professionals who see the big picture without losing depth. 🌍 To illustrate this better, we bring the contribution of Aline Lazzari in the image below. __________ ♻️ Find this post useful? Feel free to share it with your network 📣 👉Follow Sustainability Infographics 📊 to learn from the industry's best visuals. #sustainability #ESG #TShapedCareer #career #purposefulcareer #sustainableleadership #skillsforthefuture #futureprofessionals #softskills #hardskills

Is all this talk about green and sustainability jobs from our new government in the UK behind this 25% jump in July? Take a look at whats happened to Sustainability jobs being advertised here on Linked in this July. Theres been a definate increase. A word of warning - Adverts do normally jump up before the summer break. Companies push on to get things moving before the summer break. So at ESG REC Limited we are reserving judgement before saying that this is going to be a long term trend and these numbers relate to the jobs advertised at the begining of the month before the election. So lets see how that develops. BUT its definately good news for people working in the Sustainability sector in the UK. #ESG, #ESGjobs, #Sustainability, #sustainabilityjobs
