🤔🤔 Daily Musings 🤭🤭 Yet it shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. —Mark 10:43 If you desire to be used of God you should never get to the place where you are too big to do the small things or too small to do the big things. You must not entertain inferiority complex, neither should you be arrogant. We cannot get to the place that we are too big to do the small things if we want God to exalt us. But the Bible is very clear that those who want to be leaders must first be willing to be servants. Determine to keep a humble heart and think soberly about yourself; in time, God will exalt you. ⦁ Examine your heart. Do you tend to think more highly of yourself than you ought, or do you sell yourself short? ⦁ Seeing yourself as God sees you nothing more or nothing less is a great step toward maturity, and it will go a long way in making you a valuable servant. Think about it. #weareicgc #icgcedentemple #musings #raphaellangdon #TheBodyOfChrist #TheGospelOfChrist #YearOfGod #March2024 Credit: ICGC Worldwide (Edited)

Important! So, lean not on your own understanding. See Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." #BibleQuotes #BibleVerses #BibleReading #BibleStudy

The beauty and simplicity of today’s Scripture reading need little commentary. Psalm 117 is not only the briefest chapter of the Scriptures; it also falls, appropriately, at the center of the Bible. We will consider to points in this brief psalm: A Universal Call to Praise the LORD (Psalm 117:1) A Universal Cause to Praise the LORD (Psalm 117:2) #Praise, #Thanksgiving, #Worship, #Truth,

Media Pray for truth to be an established standard in our news media. "In your majesty ride forth victoriously in the cause of truth, humility and justice; let your right hand achieve awesome deeds" (Ps. 45:4). Pray that media bias will be replaced by fairness. "The King is mighty, he loves justice-you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right" (Ps. 99:4). Ask that Christianity will receive fair coverage in all reports. "Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge, teaching you to be honest and to speak the truth, so that you bring back truthful reports to those you serve?" (Prov. 22:20–21). Love you, Lord, Amen and Amen.

There is only 1 choice for President. No matter who is elected (and yes, it does make a real difference to me) Christians have an obligation to God to pray for those who are in authority. Jesus told us to render to Caesar the things that are Caesars, and Paul told us to pray for all those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1–4). Paul also told us to submit to authority. Those in authority have been ordained to reward those who do good and punish those who do evil (Romans 13:1-7). How should we pray for those in authority? First, we should pray for wisdom and discernment for those who lead. Solomon prayed exactly in that way. He asked: “How can I judge this great people?” He prayed to the Lord, “So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours (1 Kings 3:9).

For those who don’t understand it’s simple, praise the Lord at all times. Psalm 150 King James Version 150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Preeminence of Christ 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 🌍 Exploring the Diverse Representations of Jesus in Art and Culture 🎨 Did you know that the portrayal of Jesus has varied greatly across different cultures and historical periods? It's a fascinating topic that reflects the diversity of human expression and understanding. Throughout history, artists have often depicted Jesus in ways that reflect their own cultural backgrounds and societal norms. This has led to a wide range of representations, from the often-seen Caucasian Jesus in Western art to depictions that align more closely with Middle Eastern features, as well as interpretations in African, Asian, and Indigenous art. The Bible itself does not provide a detailed physical description of Jesus. In fact, Isaiah 53:2 says, "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him." This suggests that the significance of Jesus lies not in his physical appearance, but in his teachings and his role as the Messiah. 🌟 Embracing Diversity in Religious Imagery 🌟 As we encounter different portrayals of Jesus, it's an opportunity to appreciate the richness of cultural expression and to remember the universal nature of his message. Art can be a powerful tool for connecting with the divine, transcending language and cultural barriers. Let's celebrate the diversity in religious imagery and use it as a way to deepen our understanding and respect for different cultural perspectives. After all, the beauty of faith lies in its ability to bring people together, regardless of how we visualize the sacred.
