Bermuda’s tourism industry is on a steady upward trend, with Q3 2024 results showing progress aligning with the goals outlined in Bermuda’s National Tourism Plan. This growth reflects the success of combined stakeholder efforts. From strategic marketing campaigns, strengthened industry partnerships, and increased air capacity, all driving more visitors to our island to experience the beauty of Bermuda. 💗💙 Key Highlights (compared to Q3 2023): ✨ Leisure Air Visitors: 50,407 arrivals (+13.1%), generating $114.1M in visitor spending (+24.9%). ✨ Hotel Occupancy: Up 5.3%, signaling a return toward pre-pandemic travel patterns. ✨ Cruise Visitors: 221,589 passengers (+9%). These numbers are important because they translate into economic growth and increased business for our local operators. No doubt, there is work to do, but we are moving steadily in the right direction. We are continuing our work now and into the new year to help drive visitation in the cooler months. A balanced, year-round tourism model also means we won’t have to rely as much on peak seasons, ensuring long-term industry sustainability. Through efforts to support our stakeholders, including BTAConnect or the Navigator Programme, increased exposure in core and emerging markets, and forming innovative collaborations, Bermuda is well-positioned for continued tourism success.
