As the clock strikes midnight and we bid farewell to 2024, I can't help but reflect on the incredible journey that has been this past year. Dream Ventures Ltd started as just that—a dream. Turning it into reality has been nothing short of transformative. The past year has been filled with countless highs and some challenging lows. Watching Dream Ventures grow from an idea into a fully operational car rental consultancy has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The highs have been exhilarating: securing our first clients, building partnerships, and seeing our strategies help businesses thrive in an ever-competitive industry. Those moments have reminded me why I started this venture in the first place—to bring innovation, expertise, and a passion for service to the car rental world. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. There were moments of uncertainty, late nights, and lessons learned the hard way. Starting a business means embracing challenges, and I’m grateful for the growth they brought. Every setback was a step forward in disguise, shaping not just the company but also me as an entrepreneur. Looking ahead to 2025, I am filled with excitement and optimism. This new year represents a fresh chapter with endless possibilities. There’s so much on the horizon—new projects, collaborations, and opportunities to expand our impact in the car rental industry. Working at a #startup offers a level of freedom that’s hard to find anywhere else. It’s all about exploration, you’re constantly dipping into roles and tasks you never thought you’d try. There’s no such thing as a mistake, just trial and error, with every setback being another step toward the solution. Working with Lauren, the founder of Ride Skipper, is truly a two-way street. Notice how I said working 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 Lauren, not 𝙛𝙤𝙧 Lauren. That distinction speaks volumes about what it’s like to be part of Ride Skipper. We constantly push each other out of our comfort zones, helping each other grow while bringing the vision of Ride Skipper to life. Lauren isn’t just a boss who hands out orders; she’s everything but that. We spend so much time together - sometimes more than with our own families. While we’re not “like family,” having strong relationships makes work enjoyable and productive. It’s about creating a space where people feel valued, included and supported, so they’re inspired to give their best. As a real-life example, #networking is my biggest challenge. That’s where I owe Lauren a big thank you for her humility and understanding - she’s signs me up for events, ignored my million and one excuses to not attend, and pushes me with small but achievable goals, like coming back with one business card.
