Insertion loss refers to the overall decrease in #signal strength (measured in dB) as it travels through the #PCB transmission line. When choosing #RF materials, you need to consider Df along with other losses present in a #circuit. Insertion loss is essentially the sum of all the individual losses experienced by the signal as it travels from the transmitter to the receiver.
