#PicoNews The Pico Reference Waveform Library now hosts over 10,000 waveforms, and the number continues to grow! 🌊💻 The Waveform Library is available to all users of Automotive PicoScope models using PicoScope 7 and provides a space for users to upload, store, manage and share their reference waveforms. Technicians can fully update or delete any of their uploaded waveforms within the library, allowing them to have an easily managed collection. The Waveform Library now streamlines the entire upload process, meaning users can continue with their diagnostics as they are uploaded. In addition, users can continue to search and download waveforms, whether uploaded by themselves or others, more quickly due to extensive server improvements. The Waveform Library provides a free backup service that they can access from any PC with an Automotive PicoScope connected. When carrying out vehicle diagnostics, technicians must have reliable reference data. It tells them what measurement values and timing to expect from the component and/or system under test. When compared to their own measured values, technicians can use the reference data to quickly decide whether a vehicle is operating within tolerance. With the Pico Waveform Library, Guided Tests and PicoScope 7 Automotive software, technicians are better equipped to accurately diagnose problems faster than ever. You can find out more about the Waveform Library on our website. This paper creates an analytical approach using #stochastic #geometry to examine the #implications #of #directional #sensing in #millimeter-#wave (#mmWave) #cognitive #spectrum #sharing (#CSS). They explore a #cognitive #network where multiple secondary transmitter-receiver pairs coexist with multiple primary transmitter-receiver pairs. The positions of the secondary transmitters are modeled using a #Poisson #point process with corresponding secondary receivers located around them. A threshold on directional transmission is imposed on each secondary transmitter to limit its interference at the primary receiver. They derive the #medium-#access probability of a secondary user along with the fraction of the secondary transmitters active at a time-instant. To understand cognition’s feasibility, they derive the primary and secondary links’ coverage probabilities. We provide various design insights.----Shuchi Tripathi, Abhishek Gupta, SaiDhiraj Amuru More details can be found at this link: https://lnkd.in/eySBHb2d

I’ve had a few people ask me the following… What are the benefits of optical wavelengths? Here are a few items of value and benefits of using Wavelength. 1. **High Bandwidth:** Optical wavelengths enable the transmission of large amounts of data simultaneously, providing high bandwidth for communication systems. 2. **Low Interference:** Different wavelengths can be used concurrently without interference, reducing signal crosstalk and improving overall system performance. 3. **Long-Distance Transmission:** Light at specific wavelengths can travel long distances in optical fibers with minimal signal loss, making it suitable for long-haul communication networks. 4. **Dense Multiplexing:** Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) allows multiple signals to be transmitted simultaneously over the same optical fiber, increasing overall capacity. 5. **Security:** Optical wavelengths offer improved security in communication networks, as they are less susceptible to external interference or eavesdropping compared to traditional copper-based systems. 6. **Speed:** Light travels at a very high speed, allowing for fast data transmission and low latency in optical communication systems. These benefits make optical wavelengths a key component in modern telecommunications and data transmission technologies.

The HUMAN BODY as RECEIVING ANTENNA ? In the previous video I have shown that the human body can be used in a ‘beneficial manner’ as a “transmitting antenna” to enlarge the reach of an electronic car-key. The unfortunate truth is, that every antenna is "bi-directional", which means that a sending antenna will - automatically - also act as a receiving antenna, which means we are also the unwilling (and usually unaware) recipients (or receivers) of all electro-magnetic radiation around us ... In this video I am demonstrating this in the form of a very simple experiment in connection with analogue FM-radio program reception. The first of the short video clips below is even better than my own, as it clearly proves the point of the “human body as antenna” … 😊 Here is the link to my video on Youtube: https://lnkd.in/dZPDef9m MORE CONTENT OF INTEREST: A few more short video-clips on Youtube: - “Amazing: Human Radio Antenna” (this guy must be living pretty close to a mid-wattage AM-radio antenna, I would guess … ) https://lnkd.in/dAceV8jN And the following clip is for the more technically inclined among you: (maybe if you are working in the theatre environment /entertainment industry, like me, you are most likely aware of the ‘shading-off’ of antenna signals (i.e. change in radiation pattern or directivity) in connection with the human body.) - “Human Body effects on Body-worn Antennas” https://lnkd.in/dGRvaPi8 … and the following clip is for the more “medically inclined”: - “Tissue-independent implantable antenna for in-body communications” (Queens University, Belfast) https://lnkd.in/dGGs9i_A Here is the link to the first video in my series about ELECTROSMOG, which is a documentary video of a presentation I have held on the topic last year: -“ELECTROSMOG and LED-LIGHT: Effects of Pulsed and Non-Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Radiation on Humans" https://lnkd.in/dvsKW3Ku STAY TUNED ! ;-) #electrosmog #smog #antenne #emf #rf #radiationexposure #field #electric #magnetic #radio #radiofrequency #RF #wireless #frequency #HF #electromagnetic #ElectroMagneticEnergy #EMF #antenna #highfrequency #health #radiation #field
