Are you deciding between becoming a Salesforce Admin or Developer? Here’s the lowdown: Salesforce Admins: ✅ Customize the platform ✅ Manage user authentication ✅ Create reports & dashboards ✅ Manage data Salesforce Developers: ✅ Work with code & API ✅ Build new features on the platform ✅ Customize existing features ✅ Integrate with external platforms Both are in high demand, but it comes down to your skills, interests, and career goals. If you're a beginner with little or no coding experience, consider starting as an Admin. If you're an experienced developer looking for more challenging work, consider becoming a Developer. A Day Of A #Salesforce #Administrator Real Life 🌄 ---- Sam, the Salesforce Administrator, started his day with a strong cup of coffee ☕. First task: Fix a bug in the lead assignment rule. It wasn't assigning leads correctly 🐞. He reviewed the code and quickly found a missing condition. Fixed it! 🔧 Next, a frantic call from marketing: "Our email campaign isn't triggering!" 📣 Sam checked the automation rules and saw a misplaced filter. Adjusted it and the emails started flowing 📧. Before lunch, his manager asked for a custom dashboard to track sales KPIs 📊. Sam used his wizardry with Lightning components to create a dynamic, real-time dashboard. Done! ⚡ After lunch, HR needed help integrating their new app with Salesforce 🏢. Sam configured the API settings and ensured data sync. Smooth integration! 🔗 A sales rep pinged him: "I can't access my reports!" 🚨 Sam checked permissions and adjusted the role hierarchy. Access restored! 🔓 By late afternoon, he reviewed some Apex test failures. Debugged and pushed fixes 🧩. Surprised? Why does an administrator work on Apex? Don't be so surprised, as far as the role is concerned about its Administration.😉 But there are times when we have to contribute towards customisation too! 🙌🏻 Before heading home, a quick check on data security settings. All secure! 🔐 Satisfied with a productive day, Sam walked home, ready for tomorrow's challenges. 👋🏻 ------ Do you agree - Salesforce Administrators out there...! ☝🏻 Share your thoughts in the #comment below!

A manufacturing company was trying to hire a Salesforce Developer. We found them a few that they really liked, and they made an offer to one of them. But that developer had already accepted a job with another company. A lot of times this would mean starting the search from scratch. Wasting a lot more of management’s time and waiting to start critical projects until they got the right person on board. But we’ve seen this situation before. So we had B & C candidates - who were just as qualified - ready to go. We keep talking to everyone on the short list, even when it looks like the job might go to someone else. Because so often, it doesn’t. And we want the companies we work with to get a great Salesforce professional on their team even if their first choice takes an offer elsewhere. But if you don’t stay in touch with those 2nd & 3rd place candidates. If you don’t keep communication open… Then if you do need to reach out to them. They’ve probably taken another job, too.

Post an open Salesforce Admin role on LinkedIn, and you can expect 500 applicants. And if you’re willing to sift through those, then you can probably find the right person. But post a job for a Salesforce tech arch, who needs experience in association management software? Posting that role on LinkedIn is just going to bring in a flood of unqualified candidates. And the people who seem “almost right” are actually miles off. We’ve spent the past 14+ years digging into Salesforce talent. So we know the difference between a great all-around developer and the hyper-focused tech arch who can help bridge Salesforce with NetSuite. And it’s those really specific roles where we can help save you a ton of time sifting through resumes… …So you can get these projects off the ground and start making the best use of those million-dollar Salesforce licenses.
