In this experiment, “unlocked” by Netflix- What ABA term would this be based on that all of the inmates must behave and if one does not, then they all must return back to their cell. The principles outlined in this video are common knowledge to anyone involved in any human centered design or working based on behavioral science principles, and with the turning away from traditional media for “news” their efforts over the last 9 years to create absolutely ridiculous narratives like “insurrection” or everyone is Hitler has cause a loss of teeth or credibility for many psyop for anyone with a shred of critical thought. But it is fascinating to look back at bought and paid political media like CNN, MSNBC and the Washington Post coverage of events with this understanding and pick out the word for word playbook following and reflect on how we were all manipulated on some level. The evil side of this has really been pushed these last 4 years to try and convince you that your eyes and ears are lying to you, but there’s two sides of every coin. In what ways can we use these same principles to help people, to reveal pathways or new learning or awakening to empathy for people, situations, flows we might have otherwise missed. We are built to survive, so sameness = safety, but that may stop us from discovering the wonderful world of people, culture, experiences, places, knowledge. How can we use these principles in design to assist and reveal and help people to incorporate these new “realities” into their consideration sets, not as a replacement but as a supplement? https://lnkd.in/gnUiuM_i
