At the Fall '23 IHI Leadership Alliance meeting, I had the privilege to attend a session with Thomas Lee, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Press Ganey where he shared his thoughts and insights into the challenges healthcare workforce has endured over the past few years and how it impacts engagement. This was interesting data that shows the gap between physician engagement and alignment. For my fellow colleagues and physician leaders - what does engagement and alignment mean to you? ICYMI, watch this quick summary of the Annual Leadership Meeting. So great to see our Board Members, Community Leaders, Business Partners and Teammates in Austin. My key takaway was that leadership is and will continue and be a daily challenge. A few questions I left asking myself: 1. Am I arming myself with the tools, team and information to successfully engage and navigate them? 2. Am I working within the boundaries for solutions to the gaps I need to fill? 3. Have we aligned our constituents? (Local economy, schools, housing, healthcare?) 4. What if the H eventually stands for HEALTH? What will we need to do differently? What was yours? I’d love to know!

Moderated a panel on “Crushing Imposter Syndrome” at the RISE Women In Healthcare Leadership Summit. Thank you to Dr. Shannon I. Decker, PhD., MBA, MBA, M.Ed., M.Ed. , Ana Handshuh, CHC and Jessica Muratore. for joining me. Your stories, and experiences are so inspirational. 5 main actions came from our discussion today on how we could crush imposter syndrome 1) Self-reflection - Stopping for a sec and reflect on why you are doubting yourself. 2) Persistance - Keep going and take a chance 3) Grit - Look at what you have overcome and remember what were those things that got you thru challenging times 4) Do not over-correct yourself - Trust your strengths, your training, and your experience 5) Practice grattitude - Be gratefull for the things we have and don’t loose focus on the things we want to achieve
