Erin Rockett, President of Precise Practice Management, views the patient billing portion of her business as an extension of the care received in a provider’s office. I believe in a collaborative and integrative approach to care. This means: - Working with my clients, giving them the time to talk about their concerns and goals, and making them feel heard. - Working with family members of clients to help those that might be having problems helping themselves. - Working with therapists, doing regular check-ins to give updates on information gathered from appointments and comparing notes. - Consulting with the PCP to rule out medical causes/contributors to what you are feeling. Clients deserve more than to only receive medication adjustments from appointments. They deserve someone they can talk to, who gives them the time and energy to make sure they feel heard.

Residents are taught that patient care is their highest priority task, yet they spend large portions of their day writing notes. Residents rotate through different specialties and need to learn and re-learn each attending physician's note-writing style, a cumbersome and error-prone process. With SwiftyNote, residents can significantly reduce the time spent on note-writing, allowing for more efficient use of their day and a greater focus on patient care. To help residents avoid burnout, we're offering our Pro plan at a 60% discount on top of our Free plan. As healthcare workers, we meet patients at some of the most vulnerable parts of their lives. They are most likely anxious, afraid, and in pain - a combination for an emotional rollercoaster. In the midst of it all, the patient’s perception is their reality - no matter if we agree with it or not. So how can we better understand our patients as humans, not just a diagnosis? Instead of being reactive, maybe we should change our perspective - “If you could stand in someone else’s shoes, see what they see, hear what they hear, and feel what they feel. Would you treat them differently?” Check out the link below: https://lnkd.in/eZcGvexy

When most patients walk through the doors of a hospital, they're stepping into an environment that, for them, signifies distress, uncertainty, and often, the bearer of life-altering news. As healthcare professionals, it's easy to forget the trepidation that comes with being on the other side of the healthcare equation. For us, the hospital corridors and clinical rooms are familiar territory; the sights and sounds that might unnerve our patients are part of our daily routine. But in that familiarity, we must not lose sight of the empathy required to connect with those who look to us for care and comfort in their most challenging moments. The Cleveland Clinic's video on empathy, "Empathy: The Human Connection to Patient Care," captures the essence of the patient experience and the profound impact of understanding and compassion in healthcare. It serves as a reminder that at the heart of patient care is the human connection. It highlights the fact that without understanding trauma and #traumainformedcare practices we will not effectively be able to communicate with a patient who may be having one of the worst days of their life. This understanding is also critical when it comes to addressing and mitigating workplace violence - an unfortunate reality in healthcare settings. Patients and families may be in heightened states of emotion, and staff members are often on the front lines. Training healthcare professionals to manage these intense situations with skill and empathy is not just beneficial; it's imperative. Partnering with a training organization that grasps the nuances of the healthcare environment and the emotional landscape of our patients can make all the difference. By focusing holistically on developing skills to de-escalate potentially violent situations, we can ensure a safer environment for both patients and staff. For those looking to deepen their impact and foster a safer, more empathetic healthcare experience, let's connect and explore how we can transform the approach to patient care together. https://lnkd.in/eBB2te4v #HealthcareEmpathy #PatientCare #WorkplaceSafety #HealthcareTraining #MOABTraining #WorkplaceViolence #training #iahss #SEIU #TheJointCommission
