#HRCAnniversary Since the establishment of our nation’s Army in 1775, its leaders recognized the need for organization and personnel management. These concepts have gone through drastic changes and improvements since the American Revolution and in 1973, the predecessor of U.S. Army Human Resources Command – the U.S. Army Military Personnel Center, or MILPERCEN – opened as the home of Army personnel operations. Over the next three decades, several Army Directorates which all focused on various aspects of personnel management consolidated within MILPERCEN, leading to the formation of U.S. Army Human Resources Command in 2003. This year, #USArmyHRC celebrates its 50th anniversary as the Army’s home of personnel operations and its 20th anniversary as a command. Today, HRC continues to evolve in its efforts to best serve our valued customers – Soldiers, units, Families, veterans and retirees – in ways that have a transformative impact on their careers and Family life, while creating a positive and lifelong connection to our Army. #SoldiersFirst #MakingADifference #WeAreHRC #USArmy #ArmyMissionCritical #VitalHRC

Executive Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Military Community & Family Policy (MCFP) in the Organization of the Joint Chiefs at the Pentagon.
Today we honor and celebrate the 249th United States Army Birthday. We extended our deepest thanks and gratitude to every Soldier serving on Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veteran, Retirees, and their families for your service to our nation. We honor and remember those Soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend our nation, our allies, and the values of the US Constitution. #DeptofDefense #ThePentagon #MilitaryCommunityandFamilyPolicy #USArmy #ThisWeWillDefend History The United States Army (USA) is the land service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is one of the eight U.S. uniformed services, and is designated as the Army of the United States in the U.S. Constitution. The oldest and most senior branch of the U.S. military in order of precedence, the modern U.S. Army has its roots in the Continental Army, which was formed on 14 June 1775 to fight the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783)—before the United States was established as a country. After the Revolutionary War, the Congress of the Confederation created the United States Army on 3 June 1784 to replace the disbanded Continental Army. The United States Army considers itself to be a continuation of the Continental Army, and thus considers its institutional inception to be the origin of that armed force in 1775.

Changer of Lives | Army National Guard Soldier | Military Recruiter | Former Army Reservist | Former United States Marine.
Here are some questions I answered regarding being part of the military and what it means to me. #ptp
Honoring the sacrifices many have made for our country in the name of freedom and democracy is the very foundation of Veterans Day.” — Charles B. Rangel For Veterans Day this year we spoke with PTP Chief of Staff, Richard Stader-Shaw about his insights into working in IT, transitioning from military to civilian life, and his experience working with PTP. Richard is a former US Marine, having served 4 years active duty in Hawaii and Okinawa Japan, as well as 4 years in the Army Reserves. He is currently serving in the Illinois Army National Guard and has been for the last 15 years. The PTP team thanks our veterans for their courage and sacrifice. https://lnkd.in/evWnsgJ #VeteransDay #HonoringVets #ThankYouVeterans

On April 23, 1908, Congress created the Medial Reserve Corps, the official predecessor of the Army Reserve. Following World War I, under the National Defense Act of 1920, Congress reorganized the United States land forces by authorizing a Regular Army, a National Guard, and an Organized Reserve (Officer Reserve Corps and Enlisted Reserve Corps) of thirty-five divisions, which later became the Army Reserve. This provided a peacetime pool of trained Reserve officers and enlisted men for use in war. The Army Reserve Corps of Medical Officers was created with 160 physicians; 116 years later, there are more than 200,000 Reservists in more than 148 fields that may be called to action when their country requires their service. #Happybirthday #armyreserves #NICoE #DefenseIntrepidNetwork #DIN
