Having an effective strategy is essential if you want to minimise the risks and increase wellbeing within your organisation. But where to start? WFR stands at the forefront, providing essential support for companies to meet these legislative requirements through a comprehensive Psychosocial Risk Review and the development of actionable strategies. One aspect I thoroughly enjoy about pre-employment medicals and health surveillance appointments is the opportunity to discuss a worker's understanding of workplace hazards, as well as their attitudes and actions towards perceived risks. This provides an excellent platform for traditional #healtheducation, which I consider an essential part of our role. It may require going the extra mile, but the resulting butterfly effect on someone else's life is well worth the effort. My approach incorporates principles of #behaviouralchange and #motivationalinterviewing. After all, there's little benefit in pressuring someone who isn't yet ready to make positive changes. This method ensures we support and guide them effectively towards better health practices. #holistic

Today’s employers must proactively address workplace violence prevention. Although the biggest danger of violence is harm to employees’ physical and mental health, there are typically negative financial repercussions, too. These may include reduced productivity; elevated turnover; and higher costs for health care, insurance and security. Key measures for preventing workplace violence include regularly conducting threat assessments, implementing a comprehensive workplace violence prevention policy, following a careful hiring process, and sponsoring benefits that support physical well-being and mental health. Contact us for help identifying and managing all the costs involved.
