✨ You might wonder why hiring managers of disruptive med device companies always talking about "𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭" and "𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬" these days... Because so many people haven't had to do it, and don't quite understand it yet. Why? Because so many reps are selling products and therapies that are well understood, reimbursed, known, and considered the first line therapy. Most energy is spent talking about features, widgets, or keeping the competition at bay - 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 "𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡". In an interview, most reps have been able to lean on: - Quota attainment and P-Club wins (keep doing that) - Favorite deals and comebacks (huge) - Some even tout their soft skills these days (important) Depending on what job, and who you're up against, this might not be enough. At NicheReps, we recommend you consider finding ways to brush up and develop your skillset in areas of "building programs" and "therapy awareness". As the innovation accelerates, and new technology launches, those new products and therapies will need to have their stories told to providers and patients alike. And to anyone else who'll listen. Imagine what it would take to get any business off the ground? It's the same to launch a new therapy. Lots of hats. And by now, theres a pretty well established way to do it, or at least plenty of examples. Learn it/love it/practice it! I am working with some really interesting Venture and Private Equity backed healthcare startups. They include: EHR-but the cool kind Revenue Cycle Management-also the cool kind Care Management-That's always cool AI-If AI in healthcare isn't cool, then I don't know what is and more... I'm building out their sales teams for Hospital system, Provider Group, Payer, and Employer sales. The problem is...each healthcare company wants something different.
