It's #FoodWastePreventionWeek! 🍎🗑 While The Farmlink Project is busy ensuring food doesn't go to waste at the the farm level, you can reduce food waste at home by paying attention to these labels. Here are some helpful tips that will save you money and help the environment: 1️⃣ The 'Sell-By' date guides stores on how long to display a product for sale, helping with inventory management. It doesn’t reflect the safety of the product. 2️⃣ The 'Best if Used By/Before' date indicates the time when a product is at its highest quality. It does not signify a purchase or safety date. 3️⃣ A 'Use-By' date is the recommended last date to enjoy the product at its best quality. It's not a safety date, with the exception of infant formula. 4️⃣ A 'Freeze-By' date suggests when to freeze a product to maintain its peak quality. It’s not intended for purchase or safety considerations. Source: https://lnkd.in/gKCyN536
