It includes understanding the values, beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and communication styles of different cultures. Individuals who are culturally competent are open-minded and sensitive to differences in language, worldviews, lifestyles, religions, customs, political views, etc. They also recognize the potential for stereotyping due to their own cultural background or personal biases. Having a culturally competent workforce is essential for any business because it allows them to better understand their customer base and build stronger relationships with customers from different backgrounds.
