What are the best ways to get a foot in the door to a completely new career and how could one stand out vs someone who does have maybe 1-2 years of experience.

I was told that there should be NO formatting in my resume because the ATS may throw it out. By formatting, I mean no bullets, centering, bold text, active links, etc. Everything is done manually. My question: is this true? Thanks!

I have an offer letter pending from an organization that I interviewed with and am excited about however, I found a horrendous review on Indeed from a former employee in the same role I am looking for that was left 7 months ago. The review harshly criticized the company's higher management, onboarding process, and dynamics between staff members. I brought up the poor review during my interview and my interviewees did not have an explanation for it. How much weight do I put into a review I found online? I may want to accept a position with this company, but the review has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Should I go with another organization just because of this review? (for reference, I am applying for a position as a Physician Assistant).

That's been a huge issue as a career transitioner. I tried really hard to seek out roles that made sense for my background. I tried to seek out types of roles that had a similar salary. There's been no progress. I've had many people look at my resume, and people say they do not see red flags that keep me from moving forward. So, do I seek positions that are half my salary so I'm entry level? Does having near a doctorate look worse for me?

Hello! I work in the entertainment industry. I was curious if you have any insights on combining a talent credits resume that lists show titles you have worked on and a coordinator resume. I don’t want to make them two pages but I don’t want it to be overcrowded. Thank you so much in advance, no worries if not!🩷

I’m thrilled to be part of this LinkedIn Live session and to have the chance to share insights with Indeed. I’m eager to propose a strategy that I believe could significantly enhance Indeed’s hiring performance and streamline the recruitment process. I’m confident that my approach can empower job recruiters and drive more effective outcomes. If given the opportunity, I’d love to delve into the details and discuss how this strategy could be implemented.

What initiatives is the company taking to empower candidates throughout the hiring process, particularly in understanding why some candidates may not proceed with certain job opportunities? Additionally, what strategies could be implemented to improve this aspect of the hiring experience? This version is clear and direct, focusing on empowerment and process improvement.
