Well, this is going to be my first post on LinkedIn, so I am assuming a good way to start would be to talk about my ambitions as an aspiring litigation lawyer. Financial ambition is constant in each person in every field. One of my driving factors, to wake up each day at 4:00 AM, get ready and go to my college via a very exhausting, almost suffocating metro ride, is my ambition to bring change in this very disturbed world. As a social engineer, I have taken upon myself to firstly, fight for animal rights. Animals are given step-motherly treatment all over India. Why is it that Goddess Justitia's sword is never raised for the innocent four-pawed creatures? This is a question that makes me want to pursue law. I believe our constitution, holding the utmost supremacy in India, should shelter animals under it's protective layer of rights. Why is it that a person who brutally beats a pregnant dog, to the extent that she has to abort the litter, has to suffer "a great sum" of 50 INR? The other driving force, forcing me to spend hours in the library to study topics that are not a part of my syllabus is, the increasing crimes against women, me not having the power to enforce law, have decided to teach law, to people who need to be reminded that they have rights. Even the parents of young children, hesitate to file an FIR against the assaulters of their daughter, reason being, "we will be insulted". The victim of rape is forced to be a victim each day. It is time for the rain to cleanse the streets of their filth, and my pen shall be the catalyst for that purification.
