🌟 Introducing Our New Patent-Pending Drive System Technology… BIT-LOK!🌟 Imagine a drive system where the bit literally locks into the recess when driving (or removing). Christopher Gallant and Gary Dilling from the Phillips Screw Company have developed a groundbreaking technology that does just that! We’ve successfully demonstrated this innovation in a wood screw, but where else could it be applied? Comment below or shoot us a message! This technology is too good not to share. 🔧 Ultimate Anti-Cam-Out Performance 🔧 👀Once the screw is started, there is no force required to keep the bit in the recess. 👀The system actually PULLS the driver along with the screw! 👀Eliminates cam-out, making driving applications smoother and more efficient. 🌟 Benefits for Installers 🌟 👀Ideal for driving in tight areas or overhead where pushing on the driver is difficult. 👀Reduces effort, fatigue, and injury for installers handling many screws. While we've demonstrated this technology on a three-winged design, it can be deployed in other drive system designs as well. We’re excited about the potential applications and can’t wait to see how this innovation can improve your work. #Innovation #ScrewTechnology #PhillipsScrewCompany #AntiCamOut #PatentPending #Engineering

The value of Right to Repair legislation remains a controversial issue from economic and sustainability perspectives. But it has the potential to fuel small business job growth and business model innovation. My grandfather was a mechanic in the navy during and after World War II. This was a time when airplane mechanics were able to test fly planes after they completed repairs. We have his old flight logs and they some really interesting aircraft, types you would not generally expect to see. After the war and leaving the navy, our grandfather supported the family with a small electronics repair shop. My grandfather died before I was born but I still have some the tools and materials he used passed down from my father. Electronics and technology have changed a lot from those days. In general, from phones to cars, devices are more complex and require a broader set of skills to repair and maintain. Things will need to be done differently both on the manufacturing side and on the repair side to drive value for both manufacturers and consumers. I love it when we need to do things differently as change drives opportunity and innovation! One thing that has changed over the years are the multitude of choices consumers have in products. Many of these products can be built from a much wider selection of technologies. Take TV's, in the old days TV's were built from a relatively small selection of vacuum tubes and other commonly found electronic parts. Now its custom circuit boards and screen technologies (OLED, LED, Plasma, etc.) resulting in a much more complex universe of parts and repair processes. This has created a much wider body of knowledge repair professionals and DIY'ers need to manage. YouTube is a great tool but the sheer volume of people posting their perspectives on repairs can make if challenging to find a good solution quickly. It's going to be interesting to see how industry and consumers evolve over the next 10 years and Right to Repair legislation takes effect across the world. What do you think? #Innovation #RighttoRepair #Sustainability #knowledgemanagement #enterpreneurship

⚡It's just like magic⚡ An estimated 250,000 electric vehicles will be on Oregon's roads by 2025. To fuel them, we'll need more charging options, especially for customers who do not have access to home charging. Portland General Electric recently demonstrated a pole mounted level 2 EV charger that retracts the charging cable from above and extends up to 25 feet after a user scans a QR code. What do you think - brilliant or dull? Starting #today, there will be a RepairBonus #pilot in #Berlin. #Recycling #Electronics Here an excerpt from the information page: "Why a #Repair #BONUS? Our Goal: More devices should be repaired and used longer instead of buying new ones directly. This way, we reduce waste, conserve valuable resources, and avoid greenhouse gas emissions that occur during the production of new devices. Additionally, we strengthen the local economy. What is supported? The repairs of all #household #electrical and #electronic #devices are supported. Whether it’s a craft business, an electrical specialist retailer, or a repair café/initiative – repairs can be carried out in both commercial and non-commercial repair shops. The purchase of spare parts is also supported." 🧐 so how much #electronics is in a car? Will there be more in the future? (Yes) #Automotive 💡 ...we can already #anticipate next steps...
