The 7th session of the Summit is focused on best practices of how studios with a global footprint gauge the risks that are related to shipping content and launching marketing campaigns: 🎙️ RISK ASSESSMENT IN CONTENT & OPERATIONS 🎙️ Lead and moderated by 🇮🇪 Bogac EROZAN (Riot Games), with 🇵🇱 Kinga Palinska LL.M (CD PROJEKT RED), 🇬🇧 Brian Chadwick (Devolver Digital) and 🇩🇪 Jan-Peter Ewert (Valve corporation) on board, the panel will look at the ways you can analyze, systemize and communicate risk assessment with your colleagues at production and business teams. On the one hand, you have clear-cut cases where certain things are illegal in specific territories. And while the studio may still choose to go ahead with such content, the risks are known to pretty much everyone, upfront (we discussed these topic a few years ago with a session dedicated solely to "censorship around the world"). On the other hand, you have more complex situations where certain things may trigger a backslash or cause controversy, and here we are in the territory of "had we known X, we would not have done Y" – as it's practically unfeasible to expect people based in one region, to be fully aware of the circumstances in another country halfway around the world. During this session, we will discuss the different approaches to risk-taking and the best practices of communicating risk assessment internally, in a way that empower production and business to make better decisions, earlier on. #gamesindustry #videogames #liveops

Hero Concept & Dream Realm Storytellers - A Heroic Dream Team-Up! ⚡ On these last days of 2024, we have some exciting news to share! Hero Concept has partnered with DRS Publishing; a creator of an extensive collection of TTRPGs, each more enchanting than the next. The Plan is Simple! 🧠 While both companies continue to breathe life into new projects of their expertise, they’ll also develop video games based on the IPs of DRS Publishing, and TTRPGs based on the IPs of Hero Concept. This will allow the work of both studios to reach wider audiences, interested in various mediums. A Heroic Dream Team-Up 🤜 🤛 The two companies dove headfirst into collaboration. For the last couple of months, we’ve been planning the Kickstarter Campaign for Mayhem Brawler II: Best of Both Worlds AND developing a deckbuilding game for Svilland; our first video game collaboration. For those who may not know, Svilland is an incredibly well-written, norse-themed TTRPG setting created by DRS Publishing. We’re thrilled to say that both teams are beyond eager for this project. Suffice it to say, you’ll be hearing a lot more about the Svilland deckbuilding game in 2025. What’s on the Horizon? 🔎 We’ll announce other exciting projects we’re planning to collaborate on as time passes. Still, for now, it would be safe to assume that this partnership will birth a TTRPG setting of the Mayhem Universe!
