You make a game that fails financially? You might get laid off. You make a game that does well financially? You might get laid off. You make a game that is universally loved, highly rated, and wins awards? Believe it or not, you might get laid off. What the hell are we doing as an industry?
If studios that make BAFTA-winning game-of-the-year level games can be arbitrarily shut down without notice now, then what the cinnamon toast fuck are we even doing anymore? Sad for the affected devs. And for us all.

With Hades II Early Access already crushing the charts, and all the recent news, we are clearly in the Golden Age of indie games. Here's why: * AAA's credibility and resources are at an all-time low, while players shift their attention towards indies. * It has never been so easy to make a game. That means rising competition, with over 14,400 games coming each year, but also opportunities to stand out and be successful. *A lot of options to nullify risk from the equation: Early Access, Lean Strategies, Fundraising... At Naga Agency, we have helped small studios and solo devs explore innovative strategies, such as Adaptive Development Process. We'll explain the setup during the next Academy sessions.

What’s the fastest way to increase a game’s player retention? Playtest. What’s the one common factor across best games in the world? The devs interact and listen to their players. And no one is above this. ↳ Not solo devs making their first game. ↳ Not early stage indie studio. ↳ Not a well funded indie studio. ↳ Not even AAA studios with billion dollar budget. Always create, playtest, and iterate. 🔁 When you do, you’ll immediately know: …will players like my game? …is there a potential of fun? …should I add/remove this feature? …should I keep spending time on this? Don’t know who or how to playtest your game? 🗓️ Join our next Peer Playtest Session on this Wed, Nov 27th, 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST : https://lnkd.in/d7taGqV5 We’re excited to try these games: Shane Eatmon - Fuzz Tiago de Melo Prudente - Black Sailors Adrian Yang - Toilet Rollvenge

New game dev blogpost: "Tips for pitching to game publishers!" https://lnkd.in/eDCDprg2 We recently got our new game signed with a publisher and I've been getting quite a lot of questions for tips, so I figured I'd compile them into a blogpost. Hope this is useful! PS. I'm coming to Gamescom to talk about our future games and studio plans. If you are a publisher or investor (including angels) and are curious what we're up to, be sure to send me a message on LinkedIn or propose a meeting through MeetToMatch!

Tic-tac-toe game, The tic-tac-toe game is for two players. One player plays X and the other plays O. The players take turns placing their marks on a grid of three-by-three cells. If a given player gets three marks in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, then that player wins the game. The game will be tied if no one gets three in a row by the time all the cells are marked. GITHUB LINK - https://lnkd.in/g83bEytR
