We need to do better This is a fascinating article that explores the C-Suite and the stats are quite frankly, concerning. * Only 25 women are leading ASX 300 companies 😮 * A mere 1 in 8 CEO's are women 😡 Top female talent are being left behind with "corporate Australia leaving some of our best talent on the bench". Change doesn't happen by accident. Change doesn't happen by chance. Intentional action is needed to shift the dial, to change the narrative, and to make an impact. Leading women inspire change. Let’s keep shining the light so we can see that pathway to progress! SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS 👇 #professionalwomen #gender #careers

Australia’s best talent is “on the bench.” Women CEO numbers are going backwards and with it, gender equality is regressing. A new report by Chief Executive Women (CEW) paints a startling picture: - Just 25 women are leading ASX 300 companies. - Just 1 in 8 CEO appointments went to women this year, compared to 1 in 4 in 2023. - 20 companies have no women in their executive leadership teams. - 7 in 10 executive leadership roles are still held by men. - 9 out of 10 CEOs are still men. Happy International Women's Day! MeeDerby is a woman owned and woman led search firm that always strives to elevate, highlight and support women all throughout the Staffing Industry. This year’s theme is “Inspire Inclusion.” “When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. Collectively, let's forge a more inclusive world for women.” According to recent research published by the Women Business Collaborative in 2023, “for the first time, women lead over 10% of Fortune 500 companies.” This number is still not high enough but progress is being made. The same study finds that “Women CEOs in the public and private sectors, and women leaders in government cast a positive light on the talents, skills and contributions that women bring to their companies and their communities. Additionally, numerous studies have pointed to the improved performance of organizations with diverse leadership. It is important for our society and its organizations to fully embrace the power and the benefits of gender diversity at the top.” Learn more about International Women’s Day with the link below! #staffingindustry #executivesearch #leadershipsearch #womeninleadership #internationalwomensday204

In 2023, we've reached a milestone where female CEOs have eclipsed those named John. A tongue-in-cheek headline, but the substance is crucial. Advancing gender balance in executive roles is essential for the future of business. With Norway leading the charge at 13.4% female CEOs - more than double the international average of 5.4% - it's clear that targeted initiatives can drive remarkable change. The UK, standing 14th globally, can see this as a concrete standard to aspire to. #GenderDiversity #InclusiveLeadership #BusinessExcellence

Deloitte Global’s Women in the Boardroom report reveals gender parity in the boardroom is unlikely to be achieved before 2038. Some of the key findings of the report indicate: - Women hold less than one-quarter of the world’s board seats - Just 8.4% of the world’s boards are chaired by women and... - Only 6% of CEOs are women What is encouraging is, that, closer to home: - Southeast Asia sees an increase in the percentage of board seats held by women – from 17.1% in 2021 to 19.9% in 2023 While the number of women serving on boards globally and in Southeast Asia has been growing, business leaders across markets can not slow the focus on doing their part to help accelerate the timeline for achieving gender party globally across boardrooms and C-suites.
