There are two ways to manage a rental property. You can either self-manage the home or hire a property manager to do it for you. While self-managing might initially seem like the best way to save money, hiring a property manager is often the best investment you can make. Owning a rental property comes with a long list of responsibilities. The best way to manage this high workload and make sure that everything runs smoothly is to hire a reputable property manager to take on all the tasks for you. A property manager can handle resident related issues, maintenance, legal disputes, and budgeting for you. Additionally, they are often the best people to go to when you need advice while you navigate owning a rental property for the first time. . . . . Provincially Appointed Bailiff, Belgium Master Chocolatier and Producer & Host of Kevin Richards VIPs on Rogers TV.
I recently posted a Job Posting on LinkedIn and I believe it needs to be better described. Also, when I indicated that the position is remote, it's amazing how many people applied without even looking at the job description or location. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE APPLYING. I am now posting it here and I ask that if you are genuinely interested to message me directly via LinkedIn and we can start there. Company Description BOSS Recovery is a growing repossession company providing vehicle recovery services in Ontario from Kingston to Sarnia, including Simcoe County, the GTA and Niagara. We are seeking assistants in London, Sarnia, Kingston, Ottawa and Niagara as well as in the GTA. Before you apply you must understand that this is not your usual job. This can be an adventure and exciting, but there are risks both physical and emotional. You need to be able to handle being in a bad area on occasion and possibly an underground garage late at night, maybe some sketchy areas occasionally as well as driving in bad weather. You may also have the challenge of speaking with somebody who is just having a terrible time in life from losing loved ones, illness or job less. You need to be understanding as well as firm and confident. This job is not a "wimpy" job. There's really no other way to say it...if you are just looking for a job but haven't really qualified yourself from what I just wrote, then don't apply. This is an excellent income opportunity and unique but not for everyone. It's also 100% commission but trust me - when you work hard at this there is excellent earning potential. Training is fully provided but not paid. You will also need to get licensed and bonded. Role Description This is a full-time role for an Assistant at BOSS Recovery. A few regions can be worked part-time with a full-time potential. The Assistant will be responsible for providing duties involving attending on files assigned to them in a prompt time frame and seek out vehicles at addresses for repossession. When the vehicle is located you will contact a local tow company to attend and remove the vehicle and you will be on-site. Additional duties will include managing your own schedule, answering phone calls, responding to emails, completing reports. Qualifications Any understanding of the PPSA/RSLA is preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy High level of professionalism and discretion Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Experience with Outlook Experience in a legal or professional services office is a plus High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, legal or a related field is preferred. Reliable car is an absolute must If this truly seems like a fit for you, then I look forward to hearing from you. Kevin Richards, Provincially Appointed Bailiff (1997) www.bossrecovery.ca

Dear Landlords The Pros and Cons of - Hiring a Corporate Property Management Company Pros - - Potentially lower monthly fee due to higher volume of properties that the company is managing. - The company may have more network connections and quicker tenant leads Cons - - You get what you pay for. Lower fee = less service or more hidden fees. - Possible upfront fees for signing up for their service. - High turnover of Property Managers. Generally each assigned Property Manager will look after about 150 properties with minimum administrative supports. - This translates to - 8 hours a day x 60 minutes per hour x 5 days / 150 properties = 16 mins per property per week. - More concerns with filling the vacancy and less concerns with finding the best possible Tenants Ask the right questions. Read the Property Management Service Agreement! #smallconnections #landlordbc #independentbusiness #propertymanagement #therightway #aventusliving
