APPSMO, which began in 1999, provides a valuable forum for defence diplomacy during which military officials, policymakers, academics, and other experts, exchange views on a broad range of topics related to regional and international security. The Spanish president has called for Israel to return to the borders it held in June 1967. This demonstrates: 1. No knowledge of international law 2. No knowledge of existing peace treaties 3. No knowledge of the implications of military surrender after a military defeat Following this logic, the Spanish president, Sanchez, would also be expected to recognize Germany's borders as they were in 1945. Israel's borders in June 1967 are not the definitive borders that should be recognized, as this would ignore subsequent treaties and agreements. #timetostandupforIsrael

Stage 10: War Marital war, trade war, or armed war —those who believe they can win a war will not negotiate. As long as all parties involved believe a military victory is still possible, negotiations will not occur. Negotiations will only begin when a military victory seems no longer possible, exhaustion sets in, or total surrender must be averted. Initial peace negotiations may not bring lasting peace but can prevent further escalation. Next week, we will show you ways to de-escalate a crisis. They give a historical account and analysis of the Dutch national revolt against the Spanish Empire in the XVI and XVII centuries and then comparisons with modern nationalist revolts. All very historical.
