Improve Efficiency and Save Money: Understanding the Impact of CO2 Levels in Condensing Boilers | While reducing CO levels is beneficial, the primary way to improve the efficiency of a condensing boiler and save money is by optimizing the operating temperatures to maximize condensation, along with regular maintenance. Condensing boilers are more efficient than traditional non-condensing boilers because they can extract more heat from the exhaust gases before they are vented outside. In a traditional boiler, the hot exhaust gases from the combustion process escape through the flue, taking around 20% of the heat energy with them.
