🚀 Leading the Way: Man-Machine Chart for Drilling Operations Proud to lead my team in designing a Man-Machine Chart for drilling holes in castings. This project focused on optimizing the interaction between the operator and the machine to enhance efficiency and reduce idle time. As part of the programme, the PITs engaged with senior leadership, presented real-time operational challenges and proposed suitable solutions for our business. The symposium gives young professionals an opportunity to demonstrate their learning and development journey in line with our Sustainable, Growth and Impact Strategy. Congratulations to the following winners: - Siphokazi Madaka who was awarded the PIT challenge winner for 2024. Sometimes the lead just needs to be the lubricating fluid that protects the gears and makes the system turn with as little friction and wear as possible. This fluid needs to vary according to a number of variables, but mainly due to the effort and speed at which these gears work, determining the temperature, sometimes it needs to be more "viscous", sometimes less "viscous", but it needs to be there protecting and making the system work with as little wear and "noise" as possible. There are countless other variables throughout any process, but using this figurative sense we can understand that: If in these two cases the leader manages in a "silent" way to act as a fluid and ensure the smooth running of the system, the others to come will be less challenging and punctual. #leadership #projects #engineering Odorico, Roberto.
