A new and unique parallel hybrid propulsion system for small and medium-sized vessels. We took care of: - Piping - Stainless steel piping - Construction - Alignment With the HP InLine, the PM engine is directly in line with the combustion engine and marine gearbox and can drive the propeller shaft directly when the combustion engine is switched off and can act as a generator when sailing with the combustion engine switched on. Welding thick-section steel can be 40% faster and use 60% less energy when dynamic beam laser (DBL) technology from Civan is used - instead of hybrid welding using laser and Metal Inert Gas/Metal Active Gas technologies. These are just two of many remarkable results of a collaborative study by shipbuilder Fincantieri and welding systems firm Castellini which show Civan DBLs are set to revolutionise thick-section steel welding for many industries.
