Paris was the most amazing week of my life. London 52 was an absolute star. To come away with a team gold medal and an individual bronze was beyond my wildest dreams. Representing Team GB is an absolute honour, ticularly inventing. This year has been really difficult to get selected. Our main aim was to come back with a team gold medal. We all knew that. We kind of went there as the favourites, but with horses you never quite know what's going to happen. They can be a bit unpredictable. But our three horses just were absolute stars. They stood there in the prize giving, absolutely lapping up the applause. They knew they were champions. You always want more, you always aiming for greatness and when you go in and perform a test like he did at the Olympics, it just shows that if you keep dreaming and keep believing that there's more to come, then you can keep striving for greatness. And we were very, very close to winning an individual gold medal. Still, we can take nothing away from his performance. He was absolutely faultless and who knows, maybe next time we can come away with the individual title as well. Be able to get myself in the horse to an Olympic Games, it takes an absolute army of people. I'm so lucky to have the team behind me that I have. Without them I wouldn't be able to do the job that I do. After my accident back in 2013 it would have been very easy to give it all up, but for me it was never really an options. I knew from the moment I woke up in hospital that I was very, very lucky to be able to walk and have the opportunity to get back on the horse and do what I wanted to do. I never truly believed that I could get to an Olympic Games, but it was thanks to all the people behind me that supported me and allowed me to to try and give it a go. Chose not to take Dan London 52 to Badminton this year. Obviously the main aim this year has always been to try and get selected for Paris and then have him in the absolute best form possible. So it's a very fine line between doing enough to get selected but also working backwards from the aim which was Paris, to try and have him peeking at exactly the right time. And things don't often go to plan with horses, but this year really has gone as we'd hoped for. Badminton, sort of the pinnacle of our sport really, it's the one that we all want to go to each year having won it before. With him in the plan next year, hopefully we'll be to go back and regain our title. Yeah, the last couple of weeks have just been off the scale with excitement, so lucky the team at home for all the celebrations up. So when we got back it felt extra special and and then roll on a week or two and now we've got a new car sat outside so can't be complaining about anything at the moment. So I had my first drive in a Grenadier at Badminton and yeah, I was kind of blown away by it really. And it's a really relevant vehicle for the industry that I'm in everyday. Renting is basically the off road of the horse world. So got a car to match. It handles so well and is really light vehicle to drive. And so very much looking forward to having a little rally round. You know, all my friends are very, very jealous and they told me I have to go and pick them up and take them for a drive in it later.
