Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, alongside Senators Susan Collins and Bob Casey have introduced the bipartisan SEPSIS Act! This groundbreaking legislation aims to reduce sepsis-related deaths by directing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to build on their ongoing efforts to reduce the burden of sepsis through the Hospital Sepsis Program Core Elements. The CDC’s work will include an education campaign about addressing #sepsis in hospitals; improving data collection on pediatric sepsis; sharing information with HHS on data collection, including CMS on sepsis quality measures, and development and implementation of a sepsis outcome measure. Last week, the US Senate introduced the SEPSIS Act, a bill we've worked hard to bring to fruition. Together with an amazing group of sepsis advocates and physicians, we were on Capitol Hill to meet with Senators and advocate for its passage. Watch the video and ask your Senators to pass the SEPSIS Act! https://lnkd.in/exUcAvEQ

. I was hoping to have a conversation with you regarding the work you do surrounding diagnostics and early detection. I am working on a national program with the NHS and I am currently doing some research into diagnostics and early detection. I think there may be some synergies here. We have been commissioned by the NHS to identify and introduce innovation into UK hospitals to help improve the early detection of sepsis and improve patient outcomes. Would you be open to having a discussion with me to find out a little bit more about where you sit in this area? I do look forward to hearing from you soon.
