The field of psychology and artificial intelligence (AI) is indeed gaining momentum, and it's likely that this trend continues and even gets accelerated in the following years.

From replacing research assistants and participants, to conducting literature reviews and offering CBT and other therapeutic solutions, AI is here to stay, and the involvement of psychologists is paramount to the effective deployment of AI tools. I'm curious to learn more about the implications on other areas such as training, awareness-raising and mentoring, particularly at the workplace. #ai #mentalhealth

Led by Hannes Diemerling, a distinguished researcher at the Center for Lifespan Psychology at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, the team embarked on a mission to ascertain whether ML could rival human capabilities in recognizing emotions from audio clips as brief as 1.5 seconds. The significance of this duration stems from its alignment with the human threshold for emotion recognition in speech, carefully avoiding the overlap of emotional expressions.
