Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning" As many of my LinkedIn followers know, the Muscle Help Foundation #charity is a small, but mighty charity that packs a punch when it comes to delivering transformational outcomes for its vulnerable beneficiaries living with the muscle wasting condition #musculardystrophy ~ MD is relentless and unforgiving. In 2023, nine of the charity’s Muscle Dream beneficiaries died. The average age was 19yrs. A harsh reality. For many young people in our community, #time is an incredibly precious commodity! That’s why #partnerships really matter because they can make a big difference. And that’s why the above three words will I hope be a catalyst in igniting your #imagination. CBCO annually supplies their 45 area hospitals with over 60,000 units of blood It takes an average of 200 donations each operating day to meet local patient needs Whole blood donors can give every 56 days (6 x yr) but CBCO’s average donor gives less than twice a year Almost 40% of the population is eligible to give blood but only about 3% actually donate Losing high school/college drives in the summer can lead to critical shortages which is why we rely heavily on community/event blood drives.
