#InfosysFoundation has worked relentlessly towards making #healthcare affordable and accessible to women and children, especially in rural areas. When the Health Department of Karnataka, reached out to request assistance to reconstruct a government hospital wing, in Ramanagara district of Karnataka (60 kilometers away from Bengaluru), the Foundation took this opportunity to transform the maternity and child wing of the taluka hospital into a one-of-a-kind 100-bed hospital. The hospital block which is over a 9,300 sq.m., comprises of five floors, with state-of-the-art facilities, operation theaters, ICU equipment, and a pediatric ward. As a result of our efforts, there has been a surge in the number of patients visiting the hospital. From August 2023 to February 2024, about 8,616 new patients have visited the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, with 714 patients revisiting. And in the Pediatric Department, nearly 4,044 new patients and 1,981 revisits. The hospital caters to patients from Kanakapura, Arohalli, Ramanagara, and other nearby places bordering Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu. This hospital is a testament of our unwavering to further its mission of fulfilling the healthcare needs of underprivileged mothers and their children and empowering women. #InfosysCSR | #maternalhealth | #childcare | #Karnataka | #WomenEmpowerment | Infosys
