I am VERY excited to announce we are DBE-certified in our 9th state! Alabama ~ the cotton state! Growing up surrounded by cotton-fields was a pretty amazing experience. Living in Midland,Texas, my dad, the self-proclaimed "Austrian-Texan cowboy", would saddle the horses up and our family would take long rides around -and sometimes through-the fields. The long spindly fingers of the plant bearing a puffy white poof always enchanted me. It was a pretty neat experience as kid seeing those long, straight rows of cotton balls. Later, as a "young adult", we'd all gather in the cotton fields to hang out and learn about livin'. Now, these fields are subdivisions. Ahhhhh...how the times have changed. 🥹 Looking very forward to getting to know Alabama and seeing what we can bring to the table! It’s amazing to see how our CPKC values of Accountability, Diversity and Pride are eloquently displayed throughout our new livery. This new and improved visual identity will have a mark on this company and the Railroading Industry as a whole for years to come. You can clearly see us celebrating our Diversity by proudly showcasing the American, Canadian and Mexican Flags. This is something that can not be mimicked or repeated. It is true to who we are and who we will continue to be moving forward. It is an identity that is unmatched. Pride in the fact that this final design was picked by the people making it happen every single day here at work. Every CPKC employee had the opportunity to voice their opinion and have a say in what our future looks like. Last and certainly not least, Accountability. Accountability in the sense that these three nations are putting their trust in the work we do daily. Accountability in the form of our customers and shareholders who demand service excellence and lastly, accountability to those who came before us and for those who are destined to join us in years to come… to never forget where we came from and continue to build this company to its true potential.
Our new livery is here! Chosen by our CPKC railroaders, this new design honours our proud heritage and celebrates our exciting future as one railroad connecting a continent. See it at the #FinalSpikeSteamTour stop on May 18 at Union Station Kansas City. #2816TheEmpress

Take a look behind the scenes at one of our recent projects. Our crew worked tirelessly to prepare the parking lots out at the Texas Rangers' Ballpark in Arlington and ensured every detail was perfect. From clearing the old surface to laying a strong foundation, every step was a testament to the passion and pride we bring to our work. The Elite Difference: ==>A Legacy of Excellence: For years, we’ve been the go-to name for commercial paving in Texas. ==>Teamwork at the Core: Our crew is more than just workers—they’re the heart of every project. ==>Precision Every Step of the Way: We believe the details matter, because quality is in the details. Paddy Gregg, CEO of Austal Limited, stated, "The U.S. Navy has recognized that Austal USA has had a great start in building the first LCU vessel and has now exercised options for two more vessels." Construction of the first ship began in April of this year. The LCU 1700 ships are intended to complement the U.S. Navy's current amphibious assault ships by supporting missions such as transporting troops, vehicles, or various types of cargo to shore. https://lnkd.in/dUM5cqBy Each LCU 1700 is capable of operating in open seas, with a maximum range of 1,200 nautical miles. They can reach speeds of up to 11 knots and require a crew of 13 sailors to operate.
