After reading this YOU KNOW how to handle a question to which you DONT KNOW THE ANSWER when you are giving a presentation!!! Whether it was during a presentation on stage or a conversation with a friend, there has probably been one point where you simply had no clue how to answer the question. During a conversation with a friend admitting you don’t know the answer is not an issue, but up on stage, it’s quite a different story. You might feel flustered or embarrassed and resort to making up an impromptu answer, or standing there stammering unprofessionally - potentially losing the confidence of your audience. What do you do when you don't know the answer during a presentation? Please let me know! #EnglishLearning #MarketingDigital #PresentationSkills

Networking in a language that isn't your native tongue can be super intimidating, right? You're worried about messing up your introductions or running out of things to say. But don't stress, I've got some tips that have helped me out! First up, be the listener. People generally love talking about themselves if you show genuine interest. Just keep asking them questions to keep the conversation rolling. Another trick is having some good opening questions ready to go. Simple ones like "What brought you to this event today?" or "Have you been to this thing before?" Give people an easy way to start sharing about their background or interests. And here's one I really like - use the fact that you're not a native speaker to your advantage! Break the ice by asking if the other person is a local or also from out of town. Most likely you will get great tips about the area and have a lively conversation : ) That "outsider" status can be an asset for making connections! Those are just some ideas that have worked for me to make networking way less painful. Let me share a few tips and things you can say below in my post 👇 And because making small talk is tough enough in your native language, so don't be too hard on yourself! #EnglishTips #Networking #SmallTalk

English fluency isn’t what makes you hate presentations at work. Many women working in international companies believe that if they could just improve their English, they’d feel more confident in meetings and presentations. But even when they know the language well, the fear of speaking up often takes over. They feel they aren’t expressing themselves as clearly as they could. It’s not just the challenge of using a second language—it’s the anxiety about making mistakes, not being understood, or not sounding as fluent as they’d like. This fear prevents them from getting new opportunities. While colleagues speak confidently, you hold back, worried about how you will come across. Despite being just as capable, you can’t showcase your true abilities. Why does this happen? Because it’s not just about language proficiency—it’s about having your confidence. When fear takes over, even the most fluent speakers can feel like they’re not good enough. But there’s a solution to this. If you’re ready to stop letting fear hold you back and start presenting with confidence, write "Yes" in the comments and I will send you all the info : ) #Presentations #English #Confidence

If you're working in Marketing or Communications who needs to communicate daily in English, and English is NOT your first language but you have to use it at work, please ask yourself these three questions: 😨 Do you avoid making presentations in English because you lack confidence and fluency? 😨 Do you often remain silent in meetings even though you have a lot to say? 😨 Do you find that people sometimes don't understand you when you speak in English? Or that you frequently don't understand them? If this applies to you, you know that: ❌ You may well be the smartest person in the room, but that is not how people see you when you're speaking in English. ❌ There is a gap between the true professional that you are, and the person that your superiors see. ❌ Your English is holding back your career development. Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others. — Booker T. Washington There's a captivating truth about happiness: it's contagious 😊 When we share our joy with others, we ignite a chain ⛓ reaction 🧪 that brightens lives far and wide. It’s like dropping a pebble 🪨 in a pond; the initial splash creates ripples that expand outward, touching everything in their path. #Science backs up this notion. #Psychologists like Jonathan Haidt have discovered that acts of kindness release feel-good chemicals in the brain, creating a "warm glow" effect. But #happiness isn't solely a personal experience; it’s a shared dance of connection. How can you contribute to this wave of positivity? It's simpler than you might think. #Volunteer your time for a cause you care about, lend a helping hand whenever possible, or spread joy with a kind word or unexpected gesture. Remember, #happiness isn't a limited resource. The more we share, the more it grows. Let's make the world a brighter place, one act of #kindness at a time.
