👉The Lost Art of Connection: Why Prioritizing People Over Phones Matters✨️ "What is taking priority in your life today?" Please wach the short video In today's fast-paced, technology-driven world, it's common to see people glued to their cell phones even at important social gatherings like the dinner table. While technology has undeniably revolutionized the way we communicate, it has also subtly eroded the quality of face-to-face interactions. When we prioritize our cell phones over the company of those around us, we not only signal a lack of respect but also diminish the human connection that is integral to meaningful relationships. The simple act of placing a phone on the table during a meal sends the message that whoever may call or text holds more significance than the present company. In our personal and professional lives, it's crucial to remember that genuine human connection fosters understanding, empathy, and trust. Therefore, it's time to shift our focus from the screen to the people in front of us and rediscover the lost art of deep, meaningful conversations. with gratitude, Miriam Huizenga ✨️ 🌸✨️ www.seedofkindness.net https://lnkd.in/gJwdeitA #ConnectionOverTechnology #BadAddiction #SelfLove #RespectfulCommunication #Love #PrioritizingPeople #RespectforOthers #QualityConversations #Controling #DigitalWellness #HealingJourney

Creating and curating Extraordinary Events || Helping people understand the wisdom of their bodies and learn to thrive regardless of age.
It happens again and again; movement can turn around a day that's feeling 'off' - perhaps due to tiredness, a bad mood, or watching the news :) You step onto the mat, adjust the practice to suit your needs, and after class say “I feel better!”. Your movement practice is flexible - it is designed to work with you and for YOU! It isn’t boot camp! There are days when rest is the answer, but when you do come to the studio, allow yourself to have the movement experience that your body, mind and heart need in that moment. At SoulShine Studios, movement is a tool for your benefit, not a chore to check off the list.

Sensory Stories # 31: "JOMO" - joy of missing out isn’t always good for sensory avoiders In this video, Marieta talks about the dangers of giving into JOMO from the perspective of a sensory avoider. As a sensory root (someone with low sensory thresholds) I often choose to be on my own, in my own space. While there is nothing wrong with doing that on occasion, the joy of missing out can be detrimental as you end up missing out on life. It's sometimes a good idea to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones and experience what life has to offer. https://lnkd.in/dTi8py3t #sensoryintelligence #sensory #7senses #jomo #sensoryavoiders #missingout #quiettime #comfortzone #alwayssayno #opportunities #experiencelife #planning #detail #organised

Creative Brilliance Challenge of the Day. FOCUS – DISTRACTIONS. Instead of carefully crafting your scene so that nothing but what is happening appears in it, GET REAL. The phone rings. The baby cries. Someone shouts or laughs from across the room. There’s a fender bender. Nothing so extreme it would stop the scene dead in its tracks, but introduce something that can make it meatier. More powerful. More focused. How many times in your actual life had this happened? Use it to polish your prose. #CreativeBrilliance #CreativeThinking #MindfulnessWriting #CreativeWriting
